I'm talk about relevance. Gdp nominal is how much the country produces in total ("gross"), GDP Nominal per capita is used to calculate the country's wealth, since if each person produces more, obviously the average income will be higher and consequently the quality of life as well.

In other words, Brazil produces more than Singapore and Malaysia. Which means we are more relevant on the international scene than singapore.
