Good for NA bad for EU. NA tier 2 scene is well developed with teams that look as good as some of the best in franchising the region having such a high concentration of orgs and players facilitates that. EU has a faltering tier 2 scene, teams are good but little monetization which means its not sustainable unless riot does something about it. Apac feels about the same

I would rather have open system with frequent tier1 worldwide tournaments

Currently it feels pretty bad because we almost never see our favourite teams play, and when we do, it's too few games and dogshit formats

isn't fully setup until premier, however it does make it hard for the jump of tier2 to tier1, altho the ascension tourneys were prob the best way riot coulda done it, so its kept the tier2 scenes not completely dead like how people freaked out about it initially. Time will tell but after lockin I'd say alot of teams have shown potential and that its geniunely wide open for masters outside of maybe a few lock teams.

EU is bound to falter with soo many regional leagues and no CIS leagues. This shit is stupid, we need like 4 at max, CIS, TR, EU and MENA. Maybe EU 1 and EU 2. Like is there even enough appeal for portugal, france, spain to be completely different? Wouldnt concentrating these orgs and teams in 12 team brackets of EU 1 and EU 2 not be better?

All tier 2 pros now have an established circuit to complete in. Plus in the future 2 teams are gonna be ascending each year. That’s 10 players + other random pick ups it’s A LOT of tier 2 spots going into tier 1 each year

Oh yeah T2 NA is doing great, I just hope EMEA and APAC continue to gain support both from the fans, players, and orgs because some regions are doing great while others are struggling within these areas.

this happens a lot in league unfortunately, and is running on a similar system

One of the best EU botlaners last year was benched and was inactive for a third of this season, partially cause pay and partially cause he wanted someone better to play with than someone they brought in

9 Leagues in a region dominated by CS influence + No sponsor interest as almost 80% of funding in EMEA esports comes from betting + low viewership cause of poor marketing and lack of storylines (except France they do some wizard shit) + recession-making tournament organisers make heavy budget cuts (also thanks to the lack of sponsors) + organizations not being interested in the league's cause of all the above stuff + Rito not putting much financial support to help us even though we clearly need it thus making the product even more shit.

I think some relegation system would make it more competitive and allow upcoming pros to make it in; basically a more fluid cycle of teams and talent between t1 and t2

No, opressor system with small orgs. No more Vikings, sharks, etc in masters or champions. We saw some ascention teams beating Giant orgs in franchise. So i think a lot of talents will not be reveal because of this huge contracts and keeping safe the old players

For the players in franchising? Definitely, top salaries, stability that does not rely on performance (your org can't get "kicked" from the league)

For the companys involved? Definitely yes, massive profits

Now... for the true competition? Definitely not, just look at CSGO majors, every single team must qualify, that's real competition

For the upcoming talent, aspiring pros, tier 2 pros and tier 1 pros that didn't have connections to be on a franchised team? Definitely not

For the viewer? Not sure, upsets will be very rare and you'll rarely see a top team emerging from nothing like the guard
