Nah edg clears pacific league lol they went 9 0 in the lcq last year. You can't deny cn teams are getting better.

bonkashi [#11]it's completely understandable. china is a massive market, and with overwatch recently being shut down there now is the perfect time to swoop in a fill the gap, and inviting chinese teams to international events and getting fans there excited is a great way to do it.
I saw that on billibilli gaming there's 2 ex cn overwatch players that just switch over. Hopefully more do

No way. There is a lot of big orgs there + It is a country with a lot of investment and history in E-sports + 1.4bi people. More money, more viewership. They have to be a separete region.
if china can give equal amount of viewership which rest of the world combined gives, then i think its a pretty decent bet. and also china will easily become good(unlike japan which is very new to esports), china has done it before in league so hopefully they'll get good quite fast. and yes with all this said, this is unfair, but understandable and good for the future of the game

we do not live in a fair world. also if the chinese playerbase becomes as big as apac, then it is very fair, especially considering how secluded the country is from the rest of the world in terms of their policies and shit. and it would be better if you give up on this "unfair" and "earn their slot" naritive, it wont happen anywhere, not in real sports not in esports, not in business literally no where. this is how the world works
another Tencent's FPS title CrossFire in China went absolute high alert by creating the new esports pyramid promising a 2nd league, university/college/developmental league
which is something that this game never consider doing it since going franchising in 2020. All it took is VALORANT to go on high alert
and even both being under Tencent each subcompany or even substudios still has to compete each other.

To me its not surprising, not to say its fair though but what do you expect coming from the parent company themself.
This should mean they had direct spot to Champions assuming the similar pattern of it will be 4 from those three leagues + masters winner gets extra spot then 2 fixed china spots again remember the pro league rumors
