The American League too strong...

Guys it's time to stop the cope. The reality is Brazil and NA teams are way too strong at valorant atm. They're making every other region look like tier 2 clowns. American Teams just have better aim and more creativity with good fundamentals. They also don't choke as much anymore ...

Just admit it , your region suck if not NA and SA
Quite honestly tier 2 teams like the guard or m80 could wipe the floor with some of these teams. Wake up , are we really gonna let NA dominate an esports ??!!

EMEA needs to wake up and stop playing cs and play valorant.

APAC teams need to stop stealing pay checks and get their shit together cause if DRX and PRX are dominating the region for the past 2 years means there's no competition ...

I can feel they are better but considering it's a bo3 and losers are out, anything can happen. Hoping for the best tho.

Historically we’ve always done well in pre-tournament scrims so I agree that we’ll need to watch these matches first

I wouldn't say that... Just because Liquid, Fnatic, and NaVi should be real good. If EMEA ends up getting shit on by Americas teams this whole tournament I'm going to throw a party fr. EU fans would mald so bad.

#11

Yes but that means emea is only top heavy and that's bad when compared to Americas

Oh yeah, unfortunately for EMEA and APAC is that the Americas league will more then likely continue to pull away because of how competitive it is between North and South American teams. I was PISSED when NA only got 5 teams, but now it's looking like overall this refinement of rosters is going to help both regions of the Americas create not only the best league to watch, but out of that competitive pressure, the best players in the world in the long run.

Maybe im stupid but I really think eventually Americas league fans will stop rooting for Na/SA/Br individually and just root for the whole league all together. It really seems like riot is trying to push "The Americas" as just a whole new region, not just a league.

I'd love that tbh, I always kinda envied that EMEA had more unity between countries there... and it's just kinda been the US and CAN having any sort of combined identity. Kinda defeats the purpose of the whole globalized world feel of modern times imho. This is esports, not traditional, you'd think we would of grown past just one country fandoms.

I wouldnt mald, because EU orgs deserve this.
Imagine getting a franchise spot and keeping a team that got shit on in lcq and not even trying to upgrade it for real (BBL), FUT keeping a team they barely won ascension with, HERETICS getting rejects, and Karmine corp insisting on limiting their talent by only getting franchophones in their roster. They're nerfing the region BY CHOICE.
They deserve this. Won't even mald. The more they get shit on, the sooner they'll move their ass and make better decisions.

I agree. Monsterr, Vookashu, Parla, woot and soo many talented duelists just waiting to be picked up and we end up with soo many mid teams. Just sad. Even if Navi/FNC/TL win this tourney, we wont have 3 teams of the same caliber to send to Tokyo. TH also fucked up on the roles with zeek, he needed a duelist.

Good for them, they don't need your hope... cause imagine having someone that is from their country and not believing in them. Not only to mention that Furia and MIBR really did step up from what they were before. I hope they do really well.

I can't agree, DRX has only played 1 series and looked fairly dominate apart from on Ascent and if you know the old BBL you would know they are probably the best team on Ascent in EMEA they just weren't great on other maps. Liquid, Navi and Fnatic haven't played yet and the other EMEA teams were always going to be less impressive. I think every region has some promising teams

#13

DRX will be the only promising and consistent team. Every other apac team still not learning how to play tactical fps. Their fundamentals are so weak at tier 1 level compared to other regions. I'm not coping but that's the truth.

PRX has show that other APAC teams can get results, a bad showing at this tournament means nothing. Yes they made a lot of questionable decisions and didn't work as a team but once they realise this it shouldn't be hard to fix. Maybe they won't look good at this tournament but at Tokyo APAC will hopefully have more signs of life.

naw man as much as i love PRX they made the same mistakes last tourney and the one before that... they still haven't learned this is just how they play and we gotta understand unless the roster is changed this is just going to be their playstyle

#35

I'm literally a prx supporter and I can't deny they absolutely haven't learn. They can play aggressive valorant but their fundamentals look so weak and they still over peek to throw advantages. You won't dominate as a top team if you have weak tact fps fundamentals.

back in Copenhagen they didn't have the same problems they do now. Sure i agree they weren't playing well at Champions or the other day but they can definitely recover their old form and start working together again. Literally all need to change is to start playing as a team again

#50

i dont think ur watching the matches properly if you think the issue is they're not playing as a team...
for your information they do play as a team they just need to change their playstyle/improve their gameplans

#52

watch the C9 match again and then compare it to Copenhagen. You will clearly notice a difference in how they took fights. They use to use utility (i.e teamwork) to make fights favorable whereas against C9 they took mostly 50s. Don't get me wrong they still liked to take aggressive fights it was just more orchestrated.

In the C9 game they barely used utility combos outside the main executes and it cost them

Many orgs in emea kind of trolled with their rosters. Everyone besides FNC, TL, NAVI, KOI didnt pick the best players available. Many just sticked with their previous rosters or picked up players who underperformed last year.

for koi, there has to be better options than wolfen and starxo though right?

#41

There probably are, but I think Koi still played pretty good. They had bad luck by facing NRG in the first round. I feel like with enough time this roster has potential

Bro you haven't even seen the top 3 teams from EMEA Navi Fnatic and Liquid yet.. Also no hate whatsoever I supported Loud last year.. but Brazil teams might not be champions worthy yet, they might win their respective first rounds but don't think they'll even qualify from their bracket. Personally NRG C9/DRX 100T/Fnatic Liquid/Navi are the top teams right now. EMEA has great potential but rest 7 teams didn't do justice to their franchise spots (except maybe KOI/Giants we haven't seen their full potential).

#40

Ik EMEA has good top teams . My concern is the region health as a whole. Literally DRX is the only team carrying APAC. The American team just looking insanely well rounded.

i explained why in another thread, but to summarise, it is about how spread out the talent pool is in the americas league compared to the talent pool in EMEA and pacific. Pacific has loads of one team regions, and EMEA has only about 25 top players that are worthy to play on the top level spread out across 10 teams. since we are seeing all the teams, we are also seeing teams that aren't good enough to play on the world stage. americas has a lot more and because NA has only 5 teams, their best players are more concentrated, making more "super teams". Same with brazil and latam, both of whom have proved themselves last year. pacific has lots of one team regions, so if they arent the best, they are weak.

So potentially each three now has its own home turf being exceptionally good in one specific game over the other two

emea= CS
americas = VAL
pacific = LOL
