I just realised something... With FPX having a Russian, Ukrainian and a Kazakhstani (all are countries usually considered to be CIS) how are they playing EU and not CIS VCT?? Is one of them residing in EU?, does Riot not consider Ukraine CIS?, do you only need 2 players from(or in) a region to qualify for it's VCT? or is it something else?

It's their choice which qualifiers to play in, apparently. Some full EU team with only 1 Turk on the roster played in Turkish qualifiers for Masters 2.

that's so stupid!!! why doesn't some t3 korean team just sign a sea player and easily qualify for of their two spots

Arbalest is on the Turkish qualifier for example

Well, I think it will definitely change after Corona restrictions are over. Currently, it would be a bigger challenge for teams to relocate from South Korea to SEA with all these restrictions, rather than play in Korean qualifiers.

aren't sea qualifiers online?

Yeah, but the issue is in the ping. EU players can play in Turkish servers with bearable ping(~70 ping), while for Koreans, their ping in SEA servers would probably something more like 150.

It doesn't matter where are your players from you can compete anywhere, the ping is the only Riot limitation

surely another limitation also has to be the in-game macroregion, you can't even access NA servers on an EU account
