Yall been waiting for this one

ORG HISTORY
-DRX, previously known as DragonX, are a South Korean esports team with roots going as far back as 2012. Currently, they compete in League of Legends, Tekken, Valorant, and Warcraft.
-The Org’s history extends from their original LoL team, known as Incredible Miracle which was founded in 2012. The stack changed hands several times before being sold to Kingzone DragonX in 2018, which would eventually become DRX.
-DRX’s Valorant division previously operated under the name Vision Strikers, who themselves were owned by eDreamwork Korea. In early 2022, DRX acquired eDreamwork, resulting in Vision Strikers being absorbed under the DRX name. They now market themselves as being a subsidiary of DRX.
-Notably, DRX’s League of Legends team won the 2022 League of Legends World Championship.

ROSTER HISTORY

2020
-Vision Striker’s core was formed from the MVP PK CSGO Roster, one of the top rosters from Korea. Although 7 total players were transferred, the squad that would play consisted of:

-k1ng
-stax
-glow
-Rb
-zest

-VS would make their presence immediately known, by absolutely tearing through the ignition series in Korea and First Strike, winning every event without a single loss.
-They would win WESL, ATV Asian Showdown, Royal SEA cup, the DBZ cup, AWEM Asia, all 3 Clan Masters, and First Strike in dominant fashion.

2021
-VS continued their rampage all the way through Masters 1 and into the middle of stage 2, where they would face their first loss to F4Q (excluding two ties to Nuturn and ZFGaming)
-This snapped Vision Strikers 102 match win streak, the longest of any Valorant team to date.
-Even with their loss, VS were in playoff contention to qualify for Masters 2, the first international tournament for Valornat at the time.
-However, they would fall to Nuturn in the semi-finals, resulting in VS watching from the sidelines while Nuturn went to Iceland and finished 3rd.
-Over the break, Lakia would be brought from Nuturn to Vision Strikers. Lakia had previously been on the roster, but never played any matches. He would be a dedicated 6th man.
-Also over the break, BuZz would join the roster as a young duelist player, and glow would retire and pursue a coaching role with VS. MaKo would also replace zest for a short time as zest recovered from an injury.
-Some were critical of the decision to sign Lakia as a 6th man, since some felt VS were trying to take talent away from other teams in Korea, which limited competition. This dissent was bolstered by the collapse of the Nuturn roster, and Lakia only playing 7 total matches with VS. Going into stage 3, the VS roster was:

-BuZz
-stax
-k1ng
-MaKo (sub)
-zest (temporarily inactive)
-Rb
-Lakia

-VS would qualify for Masters Berlin with ease, and represented Korea alongside F4Q. They would win a surprisingly close opener to Paper Rex, and convincingly beat Acend in the winner’s match of groups.
-Despite their hot start, VS would bow out to Gambit in the quarterfinals, who would go on to win the entire event. It would also be Lakia’s first appearance at an international event with the team.
-VS were automatically qualified for Champions due to their high placement throughout the year. They would be seeded in a group with Fnatic, Cloud9, and Full Sense
-At Champions, they would win their opener against Full Sense, and lose their winner's match to a red-hot Fnatic.
-In the decider match, they would lose to Cloud9 1-2, ending their run at champions in 9th-12th. This would be the final event they played under the Vision Strikers name, and was the last event Lakia would play with the organization

2022
-Ahead of the new year, k1ng would depart the roster and be replaced by MaKo.
-Vision Strikers, now rebranded to DRX, started the year off strong with heavy victories in the group stage, and only a minor loss to On Sla2ers. They would qualify for Masters 1 with ease
-DRX demolished Zeta in their opener with a combined round score of 26-5, and beat NiP convincingly to qualify for playoffs. In the playoffs they would win their opener against PRX, before being sent to the lower bracket by OpTic.
-In the lower bracket they would have a rematch with Zeta, a team they had beaten earlier in the tournament, but lose 1-2, ending their tournament run in 5th-6th place.
-DRX would again tear through the Korean groups and earn a spot in Copenhagen, this time without dropping a single map
-At Copenhagen, they would beat Northeption and FPX to get out of groups, and beat Leviatan to get out of groups
-Again, they would be sent to the lower bracket by OpTic, and lose to FPX to again exit the tournament in 5th-6th place. Due to their consistent placings, they qualified for champions
-At Champions, they would beat Furia and 100T to make it out of groups (you get the point by now, right?). Their win against 100T was their first win against a North American team.
-They would beat FPX in the first round of playoffs before losing to Loud in the semifinals (it changes here I swear)
-From there, they would beat Fnatic and FPX to earn a rematch with OpTic in the lower final, where they would lose in a 5 map brawl that ended their year in a 3rd place finish.
-DRX have continued to play smaller regional tournaments and showmatchs in KR/JP despite the season being over.

ROSTER MOVES
-DRX have opted to retain their entire roster, and brought in Foxy9 as a 6th man/sub
-DRX in 2023 are:

-BuZz
-stax
-Rb
-zest
-MaKo
-Foxy9

EDIT
-As pointed out by various users, MaKo joined VS in Stage 3 of 2021 and replaced zest while he had an injury. I've edited the appropriate portion of the article to reflect this.

W but I don't think Mako came in 2022. He played alongside k1ng during the Champions Tour Korea Stage 3: Challengers. I think he replaced glow.

if masters 1 was international, VS would have been one of the strongest teams. the meta was perfect for them.
