y'all gotta clarify if we can or can’t talk about Bob because deleting/locking threads isn’t actually solving anything
Bob the Builder, also known simply as Bob, is the title character and protagonist of the television show of the same name. He is a general contractor with his own construction yard in Bobsville, Sunflower Valley, Fixham Harbour, or Spring City depending on the series. In the original series Bob appears as a building contractor specializing in masonry in a stop motion animated programme with his colleague Wendy, various neighbours and friends, and their gang of anthropomorphised work-vehicles and equipment (all made of clay).

TheHardStuckImmortal [#5]Either make an announcement or list out rules. VLR mods got to be more objective. People are trying to understand each others viewpoints as best as they can though at times shit can get out of hand but that's the internet, Deal with it mods.
ironically, the GC scene exists because it's not objective and is vague about letting all the genders in the competition. just something to think about.

not all. Marginalised which they have a clear list of

Scoop, Muck and Dizzy and Roley too
Lofty and Wendy join the crew
Bob and the gang have so much fun
Working together, they get the job done

and what genders are considered marginalized?, I'll wait. I'm sure I'll wait a long time because they never specified it. I've personally looked. they want to keep it vague to not anger any other community who were let in and they weren't. so you asking for objective rules on this to protect your feelings while the scene itself is vague is just something to ponder over for the readers here.

well said. exactly
alice_ [#12]just stop talking about bobs gender and its all good
Until C9W are in GC Champions the topic will come up every match they play so not talking about it isn’t exactly easy when this is a online forum

You can also not be an asshole about the topic. You're not being clever bringing that topic in the manner I've been seeing in VLR every time.

women, trans women and non binary ppl

Ofc it's easy. If u actually care about GC. U can always talk about how C9 play or how other players playing? Or how enemy team doing, and another hundreds topic. But u choose bob topic for some reason.

Mate it's pretty fucking simple, cis men aren't marginalised in this context everyone else can play in Gc as it gives them a leg into esports stop making conspiracy theories

If it isn’t me then someone else will bring the topic up so when someone does bring it up it’s better to know if we can speak about it or not no need to get pissed lol
GreyDaze [#21]Apparently fake non binary
Exactly. Which is a proof that "marginalized genders" is basically for anyone who wants, as they don't bother to verify it anyway
cotangent [#24]Exactly. Which is a proof that "marginalized genders" is basically for anyone who wants, as they don't bother to verify it anyway
Verify. That's the word.
alice_ [#15]women, trans women and non binary ppl
To be fair, women have NOT been kept away from the esports scene and are not being held back from joining a T1 team/franchised team. There just isn't a woman currently at the same level as the guys out there for Valorant.
There was Geguri (woman) in the Overwatch League.
There was Remilia (trans woman) in the LCS.
There was VKLiooon (woman) in the Hearthstone pro scene.
I do think trans people (women in this scene) get hate due to transphobia, but I don't think that has kept women, trans women, and non binary people out of the T1 scene. Teams want the best of the best outside of the streamer teams.
UrCringe [#20]Yes yes, every bob thread were being assholes, typical.
First of all, don't upvote yourself, it means that you're weird... so -1 for u
Second, all threads about her were really suggestive to ppl being weird or toxic towards her... and almost all of them at least one guy reply saying suggestive and transfobic things about her as a "joke"
cotangent [#24]Exactly. Which is a proof that "marginalized genders" is basically for anyone who wants, as they don't bother to verify it anyway
Istg reading this is making me want to make men a marginalised gender
cotangent [#24]Exactly. Which is a proof that "marginalized genders" is basically for anyone who wants, as they don't bother to verify it anyway
I agree there should be a verification for their gender but this is the first gc at this level. Maybe the next time the participants will have clear cut identification although idk how u can identify non ninary ppl
ColdWKey [#23]If it isn’t me then someone else will bring the topic up so when someone does bring it up it’s better to know if we can speak about it or not no need to get pissed lol
If it's not you, then the others can screw off as well, lol. I'll say as long as y'all keep that attitude up, we're not tolerating it.

They have not been kept out by the orgs or the organizers but definitely by the society. That's why gc exists to promote participation of women in video games
Reimsy [#31]so what do you suggest for verification then?
I'm not into this at all, but there must be some kind of documents issued to these disturbed unhappy with life ppl proving they're trans, non binary, whatever
cotangent [#33]I'm not into this at all, but there must be some kind of documents issued to these disturbed unhappy with life ppl proving they're trans, non binary, whatever
This. Exactly
The most important thing is not just by one sided claim without prove or evidence.
You can't build an industry just based on honesty. This is why many people found cheated in old days
Reimsy [#31]so what do you suggest for verification then?
Idk. I'm not the expert. But the most important thing is not just by one sided claim without any prove or evidence.
GreyDaze [#32]They have not been kept out by the orgs or the organizers but definitely by the society. That's why gc exists to promote participation of women in video games
I do (somewhat) agree with the society thing. My only issue is you have women who have been pros for a long time (bENITA - 7 years), meanwhile Zekken and others at 16 makes it pro in T1 scene. Her not being able to make it to T1 doesn't have to do with marginalization.
The only thing society held back was women playing games over the years, but not EVERY woman. The gender ratios in games are more male dominated to say the least, but that hasn't done anything to keep back the women who want to go pro from being able to reach T1.
ps. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with GC, but that there really isn't a good excuse someone from GC hasn't made it to the T1 scene/franchised team. I hope to see a woman/trans woman or male/non binary person eventually make it to a franchised team.
cotangent [#33]I'm not into this at all, but there must be some kind of documents issued to these disturbed unhappy with life ppl proving they're trans, non binary, whatever
I would imagine this only is possible if you live in a country that officially recognizes being transgender or non-binary though, which is definitely not the case currently.
frq [#37]I would imagine this only is possible if you live in a country that officially recognizes being transgender or non-binary though, which is definitely not the case currently.
The tolerant US, Canada and Western Europe don't recognise trans and non binary ppl? Well obviously my country doesn't, but I thought you already were
cotangent [#38]The tolerant US, Canada and Western Europe don't recognise trans and non binary ppl? Well obviously my country doesn't, but I thought you already were
Idk about other countries but I'm almost certain in the US, if you're trans, you can have your government documents changed from male to female or vice versa, but there's no special category for trans people or anything, and I'm almost sure there's not a non-binary option on official documents.

This is true, but many states require sexual reassignment surgery to change your gender on documents, and I think TN explicitly bans changing your gender on official docs.

Valorant ranked playerbase ratio of men-to-women - 1:5 at worst.
Valorant radiant / immortal playerbase ratio of men-to-women who tryhard, grind the game many hours per day, and aspire to become pro - around 1:100, maybe even worse (for women).
The proof is right there. A lot of women play games, as you say - participate in video games. But just very few of them decide to push further. And it won't change anywhere in the future. Men are on average much more willing to work hard in video games. That can't be altered.

Never denied that. In fact my whole point is less women are willing to compete in pro play. That's why gc exists to promote women in pro play
