I heard its getting more popular in korea, but unless the growth is absolutely enormous, i dont see ANY justification to have fucking 5 korean teams and only 1 japanese team, a region with a gargantuan audience, and apac, who have been able to field multiple teams capable of doing damage internationally.

at least one of those korean orgs will sign a japanese roster, or something similar to the rosters we have now with one or two korean players interspersed

No way JP gets one slot, JP LITERALLY HAD THE PEAK VIEWERSHIP BACK IN STAGE 2 AND 2ND/3RD IN STAGE 1? JP is one of the most popular regions with NA, no way,

valorant is growing but nowhere near japan/sea i think, but probably more interest after drx got 3rd. if the korean orgs can field teams with players from sea or japan, it doesnt feel that bad. still it doesnt make sense to get just one jp org because the support from jp is massive, the clout is massive, unless financially they arent good.

Korean org could field a full Japanese or Thai team, why do people care so much. Those orgs have the money and infrastructure

Talon isnt from the Phillipines but still has players from there and not HK. Team Secret is in and they have their HQ in the USA

5 korean orgs does not mean 5 korean teams. and the lck orgs are much better than other asian orgs especially sea orgs. i do think japan should get another org like crazy raccoon though.

People see 5 Korean orgs and they assume the teams will be 5 Koreans on each team. These are 5 big orgs with great facilities and overall stature in esports, and though they are based in Korea, their recruitment options are not limited to just Korea, it’s very likely we’ll see Japanese talent and probably players from all over Asia join these orgs, remember these orgs will be spending big money and won’t want to handicap themselves by substantially limiting their options. That being said, I’d rather one of these teams with no current presence wait till next years expansion and see Crazy raccoons be given a slot

Sudden Attack was one of the really big ones, which VALO surpassed for the first time

Which isn't the case tho, Japan can and has shown that it's good financially, otherwise most of the Koreans wouldn't have gone to Japanese teams
