Where are you up to right now? Is it the east Antarctica arc? It did slow down a bit and the next arc is a slow burn but has a great conclusion (I can't say more without spoiling). In around 400 chapters, the story switches vibes to a more chill and relaxed portion of the story, and this is seen as the weakest part of shadow slave so far. Once again it's really hard to describe without spoiling but a summary would be: where you are to around 1200 is ok, the next 30 chapters after that are also a bit slow. Then something happens at around 1230, and the story really slows down till around chapter 1300. It picks up a bit until the conclusion of the arc at chapter 1550 to 1580, which is the climax of the next arc and it's a really good conclusion to it. Then from around chapter 1600 till 1800 it's a lot slower with some interesting parts, and then from chapter 1800 till 2200 the story begins to pick up again and there is a lot of action from 1800 to 2200. I hope I didn't spoil anything for you, and my memory might not be 100% correct but this is my rundown on how the rest of the chapters up until the latest goes. But even the low points like where you are at now are still really good, and you should just enjoy whatever you are reading now. The story doesn't necessarily get worse but there are some weaker parts and honestly it depends on what you like. I personally loved all of it and was hooked the whole time, so it's not bad at all. Like I said, enjoy it while you can because it's all really good.

Yeah it had me shocked too. I got spoiled a bit by accident but I never expected nephis to use that in the way she did. Do you hate cassie for what she did? I personally never held it against her and she is one of my favourite characters rn, especially for the reveal that happens around chapter 1550. She is such a cool character but I know a lot of people in the SS community hate her with a passion.

posted 5 months ago

Bro the Antarctica arc is so peak too! It had a lot of well written horror. Some of the arcs really terrified me. Until around chapter 1200, there were no bad arcs imo.

posted 5 months ago

Ok yeah some of the characters are horrible but there are a lot of good characters as well. I think the fight scenes are well described as well, and it has decent pacing too. I think it's really good.

posted 5 months ago

It's not as bad as you think. There's only been like 40 or 50 other POV chapters in all 2200 chapters so far. There are so few that I can't even remember how many there are.

posted 5 months ago

No it's not. The world building is extremely good and after the first arc, it's really good. What don't you like about it?

posted 5 months ago

Wait I started reading it last month then a thread pops up here??? Why is my life outside vlr chasing me here??? Also yeah I started reading SS in mid Feb and I am up to date now. Also they have a manhwa in the works for shadow slave, possible later this year. I was like reading 150 chapters a day. I finished forgotten shore in 3 days and then I never slowed down with it. It's really good.

what role does he play? will he replace texture?

posted 5 months ago

you are sounding like one of those "vaccines are bad for me, they will give me a*tism" people rn except replace the first word with "downloads". sadly, you already have it so idk what you are so scared about regarding these things.

get BetterVLR, its an extension you can get on whatever browser's web store. it shows the tier list in vlr.gg. its really nice.

hmm not really. #24 puts it perfectly; a clutch has a huge luck factor. after all, luck is when your skill meets with opportunity. yes you need to be a very good player to clutch at the pro level, but your opponents only have to make one mistake. or they dont even have to make any mistakes at all to lose a clutch to the enemy team. especially if its like a 1v1 or 1v2 clutch. those really come down to who has a better positioning to win the round once it comes down to it. that does revolve around luck somewhat, because your skill never led you to be in the position you are in a 1v1, it was just that you happened to be in that advantageous position. or your teammates got sprayed through a smoke leaving you in a clutch situation in a bad spot, or you got wallbanged down so you were low for a clutch situation. there are countless scenarios where you can simply get "unlucky" in the clutch, when the odds are stacked completely against you for whatever reason, either in a 1v1 or a 1vX scenario.

well the answer as to why he does this is very simple; he has casted for NA/Americas for... how many years now? 2? 3? obviously he will have a bias to the region, and a very extreme one at that, because i assume he doesnt watch every region like he watches NA. this means he will always be biased to the region, to the point of delusion. its like cheering for your favourite team, except for him its the WHOLE region. so obviously he is desperate to see them do well. it is really hard to separate your subjective views from the rational answer, you need to be a really strong person to do that, especially if you don't want to admit that your opinion might actually be wrong. and here, sideshow had the opportunity to bias to NA because it was a "close grand finals" between T1 and G2, so in his mind, despite probably knowing that T1 did better at the end of the tournament, his subjective view was that G2 is better because G2 is NA, and he cheers for NA.

Exactly, king bob needs to compile the proof and show it so that we are certain of who the winner is.

I think it's more about whether a certain player carried to convert a couple crucial rounds that a team needed to clinch a win. For example, derke with vitality in a lot of their matches was simply brute forcing his way through teams to win games. There wasn't much strategy going on because there was no need for it, since derke go kill seemed to work so well. That's probably why they got absolutely humbled in the playoffs at Bangkok, but the cracks were showing right from the kickoff finals, when vitality lost 2 maps to TL when they clearly have much better fraggers on the team. Also, some teams play so badly that it's almost unbelievable to fathom how they won despite playing poorly or while throwing rounds. Valorant has some degree of luck too, and when everything goes wrong for a team that might be playing good valorant, it might feel like they deserved to win more than their opponents. For example, let's say a team gets super unlucky with 3 or 4 clutch rounds on a map, but they are trading each other well and looking for good first picks. Those crucial rounds lost make all the effort for nothing because a map is decided through those rounds that were a toss up between you and the opponent, unless you show absolute dominance from the outset. This is some of the examples of what could be meant by a team deserving to win.

posted 5 months ago

what, did you want 100T to get higher for farming early valorant placements?? or for making less LANs?

posted 5 months ago

2 replies in the same hour to me, do you really have nothing better to do?

posted 5 months ago

did you think that i forgot about your DRX glaze arc? you are a fraud.

posted 5 months ago

dont disrespect one of the best fnatic flair baiters of all time by comparing him to this boring, normal user smh

posted 5 months ago

bro, bangkok JUST ENDED! we still have stage 2!! isnt toronto in like a whole month away at least??

posted 5 months ago

i love how riot is just catering to the ranked experience. i expect to see a minimum of 3 duelists on my team each game, and the fake smoker clove who just got nerfed to the ground. this will be amazing (not).

posted 5 months ago

i imagine it will either be used to clear yellow or the elevated part that connects to hall. or to deny plant on the defensive side. he is actually quite viable on both icebox and ascent.

posted 5 months ago

im not korean. why am i here? also GET IT RIGHT IM A MAKO GLAZER!!!! WHEREVER MAKO GOES I FOLLOW!!!

posted 5 months ago

well they were playing with carpe instead of sylvan, and i would say sylvan was a HUGE part of why T1 was able to make the run they did through bangkok. the team was clearly much better with sylvan over carpe, and carpe was subbed in from the talon game onwards iirc in kickoff. i hate T1 so much but i have to give credit to the impact sylvan had on the team.

posted 5 months ago

you are cheering for the choker duo? that is a bad reason to cheer for T1. i would only cheer for them for izu and sylvan, because they are probably the only consistent players on the team. but i hate buzz and stax too much for that.

posted 5 months ago

yup. the DRX chokers can only throw, its all they are good at. switching teams wont change that at all.

posted 5 months ago

good. i hope he keeps tilting. weak mental, skill issue.

posted 5 months ago

i am here and i still despise him. he is a fraud.

posted 5 months ago

they deserve it for what? for letting sylvan, izu and meteor drag them across the finish line after choking for their entire valorant careers? no, they do not deserve this at all.

posted 5 months ago

GENG would have never let meteor go if they could do something about it. or maybe they would, because i heard they invest far more money in retaining chokers in league than an actual good roster in valorant.

posted 5 months ago

an expected performance from the world's best duelist.... at choking.

posted 5 months ago

no they are all for me. he is my goat and he deserves a win after so long.

posted 5 months ago

exactly. these frauds think that they can leave and just win while being chronic chokers? that cannot happen. thats why im cheering so hard for G2 to win this.

posted 5 months ago

this makes me so happy because after everything, after having a good team and making to finals, all buzz can do is choke choke choke, and if he wins this even after all of that, then i dont know what to say. he ruined 2 years of mako's career by choking constantly, and then he gets to run off and win his first tournament with a new team? no way. that is unacceptable.

posted 5 months ago

the reason why i will be annoyed if T1 wins is because how do stax and buzz deserve to get carried to a win while mako is stuck still trying to carry a single roster past 5th place on DRX. its not fair at all.

posted 5 months ago

bro this roster's core stuck together when THEY LOST THEIR FRANCHISING SPOT!!!! you think one year of franchising success is going to change that? this team has been through thick and thin for 3 entire years. if this isn't loyalty, then idk what is. at the end of the day, only the players can decide to leave if the team gets poached.

posted 5 months ago

Goodbye everyone. I need to take a mourning period for this devastating loss. I will be back on this site by April. Hopefully I will be done grieving the loss of ChokeRX by then.

posted 5 months ago

the interactions between jinwoo and his shadows is done so much better in the manwha tbh. also the manhwa is coloured so i would much rather read it than watch it tbh.

posted 5 months ago

"im seeing visions" ahh behaviour right here. silence please, schizo.

posted 5 months ago

korea has massive potential to make not one but 2 different superteams but we haven't seen another GENG, which is kind of sad, because if that roster stuck together i think they would still be top 1 in pacific.

posted 5 months ago

its because the result was so expected that vlr didnt even consider it a spoiler to assume T1 won 2-0 against TE lol

posted 5 months ago

why am i worried for DRX? they pushed VIT to the limit on 2 maps while T1 got run over by them, but im still worried that DRX doesnt make it out.

posted 5 months ago

let's not talk about the mega flop that KC 2023 was then i guess. that was probably the single worst way to ever end a career in any game; by FORMING and IGLING a team that came pretty much dead last, and performed better with a coach than with one of the players on the starting roster. that was actually so embarrassing and i hope that it really humbled scream after all that talk about he is such an amazing igl and will create such an amazing french speaking team.

posted 5 months ago

"i ask players about a pro who had a long career in cs and a short career in valorant with nothing noteworthy to talk about, one loves the pro and the other thinks he is washed. valorant players must be insufferable". your logic is not adding up at all gang. just say that you are a cs enjoyer who wants to shit on the valorant community. its ok, everyone here will judge you but hltv will welcome you with open arms.

leaf is a goat, he is not an onliner at all.

but its going to happen. keep watching.

posted 5 months ago

APAC will stop growing if korea is separated from the rest of pacific. how much did APAC improve prior to franchising? after PRX, there was a pretty massive divide between them and the next best team. meanwhile, korea's first appearance at LAN got them a 3rd place finish. even PRX sucked in 2021 and only got good in 2022. franchising has encouraged APAC teams to finally choose only the best talent for their teams instead of whatever tf they were doing in 2021 and 2022. RRQ is an example of this; they were terrible coming into franchising, and they have turned things around pretty well if you ask me, with being a top 5 team in the region in their current form, with lots of potential. Or talon, who were finally encouraged to pick up the young, extremely talented players to join their roster, which may propel them to new heights, even though they are already top 4 in pacific. korea encourages growth because COMPETITION encourages growth. if only japan stopped stealing koreans to play for their teams as a shortcut, the subregion might have actually improved, both in tier 2 and tier 1.

fr. TH is still the same 5 and coach who came 2nd twice last year at masters shanghai and champions seoul. but all because they missed bangkok, everyone now ranks them as worst 3rd seed in the world, when they would easily beat any other 3rd seed. i think their problem was they didnt adapt to the tejo meta fast enough to win, which is unlucky but you cant really do much about that. however, they are still a good team!

posted 5 months ago

so if liquid stomps SEN today, and puts up a good fight against 1 of the 1st seeds of G2 or DRX tomorrow, that will not change your mind about whether TH is bad or if TL is very strong?
