Pacific
I love trash talk
This year: G2 vs EDG bangkok swiss (EDG 2-1)
all time: tuff but maybe LOUD vs NRG lock//in quarter finals
Least favorite: Idk xeppaa

I cant pick between 2 favorite pros so 2 different hints

  1. First one made grand finals in first international and lost 3-1
  2. Second one has the former bo5 international kill record

the question was about their individual playoff runs only tho, Fnatic nearly got knocked to lowers by EG while LOUD won every series by at least 2 maps, Fnatic definitely felt more dominant in general but I would still humbly give it to Champs 22 LOUD

Nah it's definitely close, LOUD and PRX both won every series by 2 maps and were never on the verge of losing a series while Fnatic almost got knocked to lowers by EG. Fnatic is an absolutely valid take but that's the only reason I would put LOUD above

9-1 in maps, PRX definitely deserves to be there

Series finishing clutch factor from the team that just got reverse swept btw

tbf PRX and Fnatic played more rounds than EDG and Heretics did (105 rounds, EDG and Heretics played 104 despite being 5 maps) but being in contention for a kill record as ridiculous as KK's is still mad impressive

I think texture is being underrated at this point tho, 5/5 series as top frag has to be acknowledged even tho Alfa's peak was a lot higher

you're right but I meant more that despite EDG winning Champs and GenG winning Masters I still think Shanghai GenG beats them in a straight up series given respective tournament forms, even though Champs is a greater achievement

Winning masters = best team in the world, winning champions = best team in the world, in terms of prestige champs is definitely better but when it comes to rating team skill and stuff masters shouldn't be much less impressive imo

like i don't think EDG's champs win means they were better (as a team and performance wise) than GenG at Shanghai but as a fan of EDG i'm happy they won champs over masters because it's the coolest achievement if that makes sense

T1 made domestic playoffs they just lost to DRX and PRX, SEN after Madrid was even worse they missed regional playoffs and they went on to be 4th at Champs, I'd rather see if T1 gets to champs and performs first before calling their win a fluke

lowkey I think 2024 Shanghai GenG should be #1, they are the only team to go undefeated through a group stage and the entirety of playoffs and they even outclassed Fnatic in that very tournament though it was really close. call me crazy but I'd be confident betting on Shanghai GenG in a best of 3 series against any of these rosters, with Lakia shooting they didn't have a single weak link

also Champs EG should be higher

yeah you're right that a change would probably do PRX good, i just think if anyone should be changed it shouldn't be something

you also cant say this when an APAC team won a trophy only 2 major tournaments ago

GenG won Shanghai as an aggressive team that thrives off of winning duels and team fights, PRX's bigger problem is that they suck at adapting and lose their confidence easily, their aggressive style itself is fine
You're right that they need an IGL tho, even if not for strats they need someone who will bring that Zellsis type energy when morale is low and make plans for the team when the players are itching to make solo plays
Also I'd argue something was PRX's best player at every international, if someone's gonna be dropped I don't think it should be him
They also need another coach alongside alecks

something is so overhated he was PRX best player at madrid and shanghai and he's nowhere near as inconsistent as literally everyone else except davai
