I thought playoff teams would fly to Iceland later, but I guess LOUD came earlier

posted about 3 years ago

Isn't LOUD still in Brazil? Or did they arrive early?

Fnatic
Team Liquid
G2
Optic
LOUD

posted about 3 years ago

NIP got 0-6'd by LOUD, so its really realistic that Fnatic are the favorites even with stand-ins.

posted about 3 years ago

This should be free for Fnatic and DRX IMO. NiP got fked by LOUD back to back and Zeta is from Japan (no hate for Japanese, just that Japanese teams are weak).

But he is up there and best fit for Fnatic IMO. He can play Jett and Raze that is super important. Also has good mechanics and seems to have good gamesense so he isn't just dashing in every round.

So excited to see H1ber in VCT, but also really sad for Derke, Fnatic and EMEA. H1ber is good player with big potential, but Derke is arguably the best player in the world right now. Interesting to see how Fnatic will do in Iceland. Maybe they end up looking terrible or maybe their system is so built already that they can easily intergrade both Fea and H1ber. I don't think its impossible.

Fnatic even with stand-ins is better than half of the teams attending Masters 1 no cap

Out of any Valorant players I like Jamppi's stream the most.

Obviously, what I mean is just that they can't go to eat somewhere and talk about the game with their coach etc. They always have to be on their computers/phones when talking to Pipson. And the coach can't be there in person to give support.

posted about 3 years ago

Was hoping for Bonecold, but this is actually good addition. Fea has shown good performance in tier 2 of EMEA and I'm pretty sure he is even the IGL of Alliance who are top tier 2 team.

posted about 3 years ago

In G2's case it will though. nukkye is new IGL and has said that Pipson helps him a lot still when it comes to preparation and tactical side. And now they can't have tactical timeouts with their coach and overall prepping and stuff will be bit harder when they have to be connected through internet instead of just all being there.

H1ber is really good, but Derke is the goat. But they shouldn't have any problems with Derke though. I'm pretty sure he is born in Finland even though both of his parents are Russian. Could be wrong though.

posted about 3 years ago

Honestly, did Braveaf say anything bad bad? Sounds just patriotic young guy who has been consumed by Russian propaganda. All of his messages are just repeating what Putin has said in public. He didn't say that Ukrainians are bad people or should be killed or anything like that. Obviously supporting Russia in this war is bad, but its kind of easy to say it as non-Russian.

posted about 3 years ago

Yeah but its still kind of same thing. Doesn't matter are you 20 or 40 yo old. And 26 is still pretty young.

OW2 isn't out yet. First beta is coming later next month. Patiphan streamed Overwatch 1.

Duelist = Derke, nukkye, yay
Initiator = Trent , Sacy , crashies
Controller = Avova, Marved, Pancada/Mistic/Valyn
Sentinel = Magnum, Meddo (if can keep up form) and then I don't know

HLTV and its about CSGO, but its pretty fun site even outside of that. People discuss about all type of stuff there. Its like normal forum, but CSGO connects everyone. Obviously there's bunch of CSGO esport stuff as well. That is the main thing.

Depends how well Bonecold fits to team, but yeah he would be great stand-in. I hope it happens!

posted about 3 years ago

Let's just say that they wouldn't have it in Iceland if they were having a crowd.
(No offense towards the country or city just too small*)

posted about 3 years ago

Ofc it is. Stand-in will make things more difficult, but they still have decent chance. I think they have showed highest level out of any team going into Iceland even if their games against FPX and G2 were terrible.

tbh Shao was 5Head there. Boaster tried to outbrain Shao, but Shao outbrained him.

posted about 3 years ago

Liquid has so much potential still. With little work and changes they would be real contender team.

posted about 3 years ago

Not really. All they have to do is to just play meta comps and practice those. Quality of their players is so high. They practiced these weird comps while changing them every week, so its not surprising that they didn't have much going on. And based on what Soulcas was tweeting it seems like they are changing their approach. Obviously they might just continue with their weird comps and don't work on structure but who knows. They have potential just be hopeful.
They were already looking worse in Champions than what they did in LCQ and they still managed to finish 3rd-4th.

I've always been Mixwell doubter, but in my opinion his Chamber is maybe the best. I think he plays it really smartly and in a way I would. He utilizes his abilities really well unlikely some Chamber players who really underutilizes his kit IMO especially the tps

LDN UTD underrated

posted about 3 years ago

But I don't know would he want to IGL fulltime while also playing such hectic role, but who knows.

Ty!

posted about 3 years ago

Why would they ever not have cNed as main duelist? He is just too good.

posted about 3 years ago

would be goated but who would IGL?

posted about 3 years ago

Hmm interesting. Don't know much about these guys outside hearing some people praising DeepMans here at times. Can someone who knows open up? At least they don't seem like upgrades, but who knows how they would drive under team like Acend.

posted about 3 years ago

Kind of understandable, but still sad.

posted about 3 years ago

True. Flopped Masters IMO.

posted about 3 years ago

Yeah he is great coach. Did wonders with Giants and look good in G2 as well.

posted about 3 years ago

He mainly meant prepping and doing tactics etc. nukkye said that he doesn't want to take as much responsibility/pressure yet. But also said that he will soon and Pipson will mentor him. It was in interview after G2 won.
Just really bad for tactical timeouts and overall it makes everything harder when Pipson can't be there with the players. They can't talk without being on computers/phones etc.

posted about 3 years ago

Fnatic still looks like the strongest team, if you don't count in their loses against FPX and G2. They lost Braveaf tho that is going to be big loss. G2 could fall, but they are also young team and we can't know their ceiling. G2 will not be able to have their coach though unless Riot somehow manages to do something about it. Really unlucky, since nukkye has even himself said that Pipson helps him a lot still. Team Liquid just got lucky. They didn't deserve the spot, but they still have potential. If they just hard grind meta comps they could be good team.

posted about 3 years ago

I just so so so much hope that Team Liquid takes this spot with pride and stop playing troll comps. Just grind normal meta comps and come to Iceland as real contender team. I'm going to lose it if they return looking same as they did in Challengers...

posted about 3 years ago

I feel like its more of a coach thing. Maybe ANGE1 still did prepping even though he wasn't playing, but even without him FPX was still really prepped for the teams they faced.

posted about 3 years ago

Its just seeding game. FPX is also playing off-roles anyway.

posted about 3 years ago

I know I will get shit for this: baddyG > ANGE1. Shao has lead this team really well and they still had same insane reads as they do now. baddyG is young player and would suck to see FPX lose him.
