As flashy Jett yes, but many forget what D3ffo's role is in Gambit. He isn't even supposed to be well supported superstar Jett like players like Tenz, Derke, Leaf etc.

Also Meddo has stepped up so much

Seems like Gambit is rotating their starplayer role
Masters 3: nAts
Champions: Chronicle
and now it seems like Masters 1/Challengers 1: Sheydos

he had crazy good game yesterday against Fnatic

New gamemode without building so its understandable many streamers are testing it again. Building ruined Fortnite for me.

I think Guild is 4th best for sure. Just looking at their players and how short amount of time they've been together. They could be top 3 after sometime and after they fix some of their problems with structure etc. TL has chance of taking it but they are griefing themselves.

I'm still a little bit unsure about FPX even after their wins against teams like Gambit and TL, but they still deserved their spot and I'm really happy for all the players and coaches. Can't wait to see how they matchup against Fnatic and that might chance my opinion about them.

yeah but haven't played Jett ever since and Reyna is irrelevant agent

I thought Kiles was the one who was going to get benched if anyone so agreed. He looked good in end of last year, but this year he has looked weak. And obviously he has family in Ukraine so that is going to effect his gameplay, but even during parts of 2021 he didn't bring much fragging power.

idk can you call Scream duelist when he never plays Jett or Raze

posted about 2 years ago

Jamppi's Jett is pretty bad and he works way better as flex player. Like tell me what is ScreaM's role in this team? Skye one trick? His Skye seems pretty mediocre. Reyna one trick? Reyna is irrelevant agent. Kay/O one trick? His Kay/O wasn't anything amazing either. He only has his aim, but can't play useful agents.

posted about 2 years ago

if ScreaM was able to play good Jett (or was willing to/was let to) there wouldn't be any problems. Jett is way more useful than ScreaM's classic Reyna.

posted about 2 years ago

If you truly think Jamppi is the problem then I don't know what to say. Flag checks or not. He's been so important for TL due to his flexibility while putting up good stats pretty consistently if you don't count in his Jett performances. Without Jamppi TL would have never made it this far. He pretty much had to change roles because ScreaM wasn't able to flex.

posted about 2 years ago

I just think he is holding this team down. People always talk about players like Jamppi and Soulcas, but ScreaM's heropool is pretty dogshit considering that they never play him on Jett so maybe he doesn't want to play it and seems like he put a lot of time in Skye, but even that looks pretty mediocre.

posted about 2 years ago

This may sound crazy, but I truly think if TL replaced ScreaM with someone like purp0 they would eventually become better.
L1NK is good controller player, Jamppi is super flexible and can frag, Soulcas may not be the best but he has good Raze, Kay/O and Skye, Nivera is talented player, while ScreaM just feels useless when he can't other duelists than Reyna or at least he isn't willing to. Also his Skye just looks mediocre.

Its not surprise when they keep changing comps all the time, like how are they supposed to have good plan when they prep for one for week and then change to completely other comp

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah.. they have good players, but keep changing these weird comps every week...

Shao has always been insane, just stuck in FPX and shitty roles

PlatChat member and also does analyst/casting stuff in NA VCT (but he is British and EMEA simp)

Tbh I think Bonecold is pretty good IGL, but that had quite a big impact on his individual performance. He was actually good fragger when Koldamenta was the IGL of Acend. So maybe if he retuned as non-IGL controller or initiator player he could start putting up numbers.

posted about 2 years ago

took that from Sideshow lol

posted about 2 years ago

Depends on what FPX or TL shows today. But I would say they are getting out 80-20. Guild could also be threat if they are having great game and great prep since they already played against M3C and Koldamenta is god prepper.

np its fracture you never know who defends and who attacks

posted about 2 years ago

true, but it was 5v5 retake so its hard unless you use bunch of ultis. That doesn't happen often, so they can just defend without ultis most of times.

that was so good

Fnatic hasn't played Fracture since forever

80k peak on main stream. Didn't GMB vs TL first? match of Challengers peak at like 100k on main stream, so I don't think this will be higher. FNC is popular, but not as popular as TL I think.

makes you feel like a badass ngl

damn this game is going to be insane.
Derke vs D3ffo (2 insane Jetts who can also play Raze and are well set by the teams)
Boaster vs Redgar (2 insane IGLs who also play support flashes for their team on some maps like Skye on Bind, Kay/O on Ascent)
and overall fight for that #1 EMEA spot

posted about 2 years ago

No lyrics, but The Batman's theme has been stuck in my head for couple days

posted about 2 years ago

Interesting match no matter what. Its so up in the air. M3C most likely bans Haven, FNC most likely bans Breeze, but then rest of maps are open. FNC is most likely going to pick Icebox, but who knows after new meta. We could see any out of Icebox, Split, Fracture, Ascent, Bind.

posted about 2 years ago

I so hope we will se Ascent. Imagine Redgar and Boaster 2 top EU IGLs going against each other as more support Kay/Os. I would be crazy! Banger match no matter what!

He will definitely make positive difference, but how far will that take? Because they need a lot. And I don't think having a lot of experience in tac fps genre or being IGL is that big of a thing. Yes it helps and makes difference, but just look at someone like Engh (Gambit) who was tier 2-3 support player in Overwatch and now he is arguably the best coach in Valorant. And yes that definitely helped him as person and now coach, but you get the idea. Most top coaches kind of came out of nowhere, from similar places as most coaches even in tier 2.

And most of the times when something similar has happened like HenryG to C9 (CSGO), Moses to TL (CSGO), Jatt to TL (LoL) aka personality/caster/analyst turning into a coach or GM it hasn't worked. And obviously it doesn't mean this won't, but I've seen this many times before.

posted about 2 years ago

Cool and good signings, but I think some people are overhyping this a little bit too much. Its great to have known names as coaching staff for attracting new players, but how good someone like Seangares is as a coach? Yes he has experience playing professionally and he's been involved in Valorant esports, but how much he actually differs from some tier 2 coach or any tier 1 outside of experience? He most likely isn't going to be some god's gift to NA Valorant. But who knows, hopefully they can make it work!

Omen isn't bad on new Icebox, there are even teams who replaced Viper with Omen. Its just that he doesn't have much experience playing it yet.

posted about 2 years ago

Let's see. Feels like Jamppi has always struggled as Jett on Haven (obv it was long time ago). He seemed good on Chamber...

posted about 2 years ago

I'm so happy to see how much Meddo has improved in G2. He went from Killjoy-Cypher one trick and bad fragging to Killjoy, Cypher, Breach, Viper player who frags quite a lot and is clutch. Its great to see and hopefully he can continue performing!

posted about 2 years ago

Its not surprising. He is literally playing Omen on Icebox for first time. He doesn't usually play Omen and Omen hasn't been meta in Icebox before really.

posted about 2 years ago

ofc NA player is defending NA.

posted about 2 years ago

I think he is fine on Chamber, but I don't know about Jett still
