Based on success:
SC2 Serral (won like everything in 2018 and still really good I'm pretty sure)
Dota 2 Jerax and Topson (won back to back TIs, Matumbaman good shout as well).

those are maybe top based on achievements alone and all of those 3 got invited to President's impendency day celebration.

I mean its not common name, but for some reason I have personally met couple people with that name (Finnish, non-Russian or eastern) and there are like one or two more known people with that name. And yeah I guess we have Helga as well, but it isn't common either. And I personally prefer Olga over Helga.

Olga. Some people think it sounds like old grandmas name, but I personally really like it.

I think XSET have hit their ceiling and should make roster change. Somewhat feels similar to pre Nivera Liquid.

I don't think its too bad right now outside of some racists. I think people should be allowed to have strong opinions and emotions in this type of sites that are all about "quick discussions" (live almost) about esport. I think it just makes it more interesting and fun. Obviously there's limits to how strong opinions you can have based on the topic, but too much moderation will kill forums on these sites IMO. I think people are just getting too offended by small things.

We are watching esports that is played by players who get paid and we are here with other people who are at least somewhat passionate about Valorant and its esport scene. Maybe I'm just missing something.

I mean anyone out of FPX, M3C, Liquid, Fnatic, Acend, Guild could take 1st seed

True, but first game.

Motivation for what?

nt from Fokus

posted about 3 years ago

Yeah. You can just clearly see that G2 is experienced team and Fokus is new team coming out from VRL. G2 just looks so smooth while Fokus looks tacky.

Depends how you see the word underrated. But I understand your point.

I don't think he is underrated, just unknown.

If that is true then I guess its worth it. I'm such a combo better myself.

This is curious question, but isn't that really high risk low reward bet? You have 50% chance of losing 10 while by winning you win like 2 pounds. Unless Guild had at least like 2 multiplier. Obv 10 pounds isn't that much to begin with but you get the idea.

Average queue in CS: under 2 min
Average queue in Valorant: under 5 min

my experience and obviously I'm playing from Europe.

posted about 3 years ago

I guess that is true, but I'm assuming that good percentage of those "cs frogs" are European.

posted about 3 years ago

Yeah. Guild kind of ran out of steam during stage 1. But their roster has a lot of potential and are no pushovers. People for some reason started underrating them really heavily.

posted about 3 years ago

Prep heavy FPX lost their first game against upgraded honeymoon Fnatic while trying out new comps. And bit shaky looking M3C lost first map against Guild who are one of EMEA's top teams. While in new patch. Can't say anything based on first games. That's like saying The Guard sucks now because they lost to 100T.

Losing first game vs Guild = fell off

good one

CSGO has lower queue times than Valorant

you can downvote as much as you want, but doesn't make it false

I didn't want to sound mean. And I guess you are talking about finances.

yeah I remember L1NK and Jamppi saying how Guild rolled them in scrims.

First game so most likely bit rusty still. And they are playing against Guild. Everyone seems to have forgotten them after they didn't perform as well in stage 1. Like they are team that has potential to qualify for Masters. The talent on that team in insane.

posted about 3 years ago

I hope they do well!

posted about 3 years ago

Kind of true. But you need both for both games. CSGO is way more perfected, but is also constantly evolving. While Valorant evolves and changes more often and faster, but you also need to perfect stuff or at least try to. And you need strong adaptation in both games. Every opponent plays different.

hopefully nfts crash down absolutely dogshit that influencers use to scam people

Yes Masters 1 was really boring for me overall, but 3-0 finals are always boring unless the maps are really close.

ok sorry XSET best team in the world + respect for being loyal fan

posted about 3 years ago

Cryo overrated just like XSET

posted about 3 years ago

Yeah, but IMO at least 2021 Reykjavik finals Sentinels vs Fnatic was still good. Every map went like 11-13 and Fnatic could have won some maps if they didn't lose to thriftys or teamflahes lol. Champions finals was competitive, but it was EMEA vs EMEA so little boring. But yeah Masters 3 and Masters 1 2022 were boring.

Soulcas may not be the best fragger, but holy fuck is the man flexible and quick to learn new agents. He was one of the first godtier Skyes, was the one on Liquid to start playing Kay/O (Might have been Scream i don't remember, but still), was first players in tier 1 EMEA/NA to play Neon also played it on 2 maps and now plays Fade.
I HECKING LOVE SOULCAS

Masters finals was pretty boring tbh

First game bit rusty while Fnatic with much confidence aim diffing.

posted about 3 years ago

True! Good showing from him as well.

First match, new comps, prep heavy team against team with new players and roles.

posted about 3 years ago

Derke used to be pretty bad online player before 2022 Stage 1. Maybe that is back? And he is also playing new agent with new teammates and system.

posted about 3 years ago

Pretty good considering the short time they've been together. This team is going to look better and better as weeks go by.

posted about 3 years ago

Yay's Chamber was pretty bad when he started playing that and look at him now. Same will most likely happen to Derke after he gets more games under him.

posted about 3 years ago

I personally dislike the style of most EMEA casters. Usually bit biased and way too negative/making fun. I realized this after watching Bren and Sideshow casting NA yesterday. Constantly being optimistic of the teams while being really good with details like "why this player is did this". EMEA casters are more critical and like to talk more about the mistakes (hypoc/pansy) or make fun of them (tom/mitch) while also having more calm style.

They are not bad, just aren't for me. Different styles.

posted about 3 years ago

No reason to hate any team after their first games. I guess people are just joking.

posted about 3 years ago

Comp changes were bit weird, but I guess they had their reasons and we saw some potential. Just really hard to pull off feels like. Their old "Ardiis go kill" super aggro was working so well, but I guess they wanted to change things up.
