to add to what you've said - video games have historically been conditioned to be a "boy's activity" which has discouraged everyone else to participate. Its a classic case of society deciding activities one should partake in depending on their gender assignment - which is also why the study is biased even if it has a small sample size of 22. Professional esports is hopefully changing that, and given there is no physical attributes like weight involved in esports, I think women (cis or tran) can even outdo men (cis or tran).

I work as a software eng, where i am surrounded by Indians and the stereotypes in the west about them having a "funny" accent, bad body odor, "women are pretty but men are ugly" are soooo bullshit. Indians have to be one of the most smartest, down to earth motherfkers i've met - they dont even make much fuss about all the racist serotypes like they should.(Definitely not covered by Asian hate movement). I dont get how dapr or shaz were expecting to be franchised after a year round shit performance with no results to show - especially when champions participating teams got disband and most of their players were LFT. In franchised league, there are 25 (THATS TWENTY FUCKIN FIVE) spots and when u break down by role its 5 spots up for grabs. If THE BEST of THE BEST dont play then its a sham. None of the core SEN players have shown any evidence in the form of results in the past year+. They did not deserve to be franchised, especially when so many players are out in the market. It should not come down to who has clout. HOW do u explain players who did extremely well and qualified for champs being left out so ur fav streamer can play?

If he had a long conversations with the coaches, he 1000% knew which way the narrative is going, he might still be waiting for final confirmation but nothing beats the fact that Rob told him that he is free to look elsewhere. NRG, EG did better than SEN in the past year - 90% of their roster is cut. Will from 100T qualified for champs - got cut from his team. C9 mitch had better matches than TenZ in the last year - cut from the team. The list goes on for players who played better than TenZ and Shazam and they dont have a chance in franchised league

BUT somehow supporters of Tenz and Shaz think they deserve to play in the franchised league. If they are so good, they should be able to prove themselves just like everyone else has to.

SEN didnt drop Zellsis or even Shroud technically. Zellsis was on loan from V1 for LCQ and his contract is with V1. I dont think shroud will play T2 tbh

i dont agree, i feel there is abundance of "GREAT" talent + untapped young talent which can win champs with the right team setting. If you believe in the idea of collecting the "best" for each role and slapping them together - u are setting urself up for a disappointment. 100T was a young team and they beat fnatic lol - you can say "never remotely close to the level of quality needed to win champions" to any team that wasnt in the Top 4. If u look at teams like Faze, Guard with players like babybay, jonahP, dicey, moose and u think they are not good enough to win champs - then i have nothing to say to u

its supply and demand bro - point is they can still win the whole thing without paying huge and running after stars like yay. The supply of great talent is HUGE and the seats are limited + every player in ascension is going to go after your seat. If you play the long game like EG in this situation - you can draft those contracts like you please, pay what you can AND win.

you really think there are only 20 top tier players in NA? When you break down role-wise there are MORE top tier players than there are slots available in the franchised league. Orgs are the alpha in the franchised world, and every player is in danger of losing their job. There is no hurry to pick a team lol, they can wait and play the long game and still end up with a star studded team with players who are greatful to be involved in a T1 league.

EG is being smart. Its not like there are a limited number of players so orgs have to hurry and bid the highest. Even if all the 4 orgs lock their 6 thats just 24 players - EG can swoop up any player for any price on their terms after that because most players will prefer T1 Franchised league over playing in ascension league.

EG is being smart AF with their roster tho - they havent picked anyone it seems (source : george). They know there is too much fish in the sea and they are letting the big fish go (yay,cryo etc). They will still most likely end up signing REALLY good players at their own terms - lower salary etc

There was some beef between Tenz and Marved in the past, although Marved apologized and it seems to be over; but Shroud also mentioned his throwing allegations recently - I dont think SEN will go with Marved because of all of this.
