I want you to visualize in your mind what the players I’ve just listed accomplished that TenZ has not

What did I just read

posted 5 months ago
  • Won NA’s first and only Champs
  • Would’ve debatably won Champs FMVP if Riot didn’t suddenly start that shit the minute EDG won
  • Placed 2nd in Masters Tokyo
  • Currently top 4 in Masters Bangkok
  • Won a regional the second he left EG
  • 3rd in 2023 Americas League
  • Never lost a series vs TenZ since he started competing in the Precambrian Era (2020)

Is his portfolio not better overall? It looks like the gap is only gonna get wider ngl.

LOUD 2022, GENG 2024

posted 5 months ago

VCT will never be bigger than comp CSGO for the simple reason being that orgs cannot afford to hold onto the same successful roster unless they’re fucking liquidated. EG 2023 had both the best story and the best win to ever come out of North American Valorant and yet it was impossible for them to stay together for just one more year.

To see where I’m getting at, imagine if the famous 2015 FNATIC roster disbanded right after their first major in Katowice. That roster’s arguably the most famous in not only CS, but also in FPS’ in general. There existed no inevitability where they had to be forced apart right after accomplishing the peak of CS, they got the opportunity to stick together and continue on their legendary legacy that, in hand to hand with other famous rosters in the past like peak Astralis, raised the game’s competitive popularity through the roof as more and more diehard fans are born and whatnot, because people fucking love winners.

Then there’s VCT, where even if your team has proven to be the best team in the world, and even if they win THE trophy of the year, you’re damn sure some of your players are gone by the next offseason unless you’re one of the very few richest orgs in the scene. Fans are more likely to burnout their interest in watching the esport if storylines that revolve around the best teams in the world cannot be made, and like I said before, people fucking love winners.

EG were easily set up to be the biggest name in VCT NA, generating a shit ton of value for both the esport and the game itself, but their legacy lasted for just 5 fucking months. It’s a complete failure through and through.

who are they

posted 5 months ago

It’ll be guaranteed. Honestly he comes back in two years max
anyways ik how people like him move I’ve seen it like a billion times in esports. “aahhh I’m tired of competing ahhh I wanna start living life ahhh I’m burnt out ahh ahhh” 1 year later “hey guys I’m back from retirement I got my drive to compete again I wanna win champs I miss the grind bluh bluuuuh blah blah”

1.9 is dogshit and if you unironically enjoy whatever nerd ass hit system they got going on instead of ruthlessly spamming mouse1 for disgusting wall ride level type of combos then you’re a bitch and you need to start installing terraria

Sentinels are the first and only tier 1 NA org to ever go winless in an international VCT event since its inception in 2021, INCLUDING LOCK//IN, and they did that shit TWICE!!!

  • Went winless in Bangkok
  • Went winless in LOCK//IN

  • Won against their first two teams in Kick Off that immediately got ass blasted in lowers
  • Got embarrassed by an awake G2
  • Beat aspas and friends after they fluked their win vs KRU off the back of a once-a-year aspas performance
  • beat a sleeping G2 on Split that’s by far G2’s worst map that’s now their perma ban, beat a sleeping G2 on Abyss (their only real good map win this year), then lost the finals anyways to a sleeping G2
  • Lost 0-2 to DRX who then go on to get 0-2 dick slapped by T1
  • Lost 1-2 to TL (map 3 lost 1-13) who then go on to get 0-2 dick slapped by an awake G2
  • Both teams they got embarrassed by in Bangkok fail to qualify to the playoffs, the only wins they got were against SEN

Is this another shitty Kick Off format situation? How did SEN manage to qualify?

posted 5 months ago

I mean TO BE FAIR, PRX fans respectfully held a grudge after what happened in Tokyo and Champs so their hatred in Demon1 is justified. SEN fans however had no excuse apart from the fear that Demon1 might be end up as a bigger name than TenZ. SEN fans are like that, they’re just unbearable for the sake of it for absolutely no real reason.

posted 6 months ago

SEN fans hate when their team gets outshined, they were also giving shit on EG during their rise back in 2023 and were the loudest to shit on NRG Demon1 hand to hand with PRX fans

posted 6 months ago

With the amount of maps he’s spamming the agent the prio is still unjustified, he’s had bad maps with the agent too yknow. I’m only saying this because of how reliant SEN are on him to perform and if he’s looking just mid with like 250 rounds on him already then it’s not good enough. He plays the agent like how Ethan did back on EG yet he’s supposed to be THE heavy fragger

posted 6 months ago

Zellsis was decent overall in Kick Off and completely shit the bed individually in Bangkok, old habits die hard

posted 6 months ago

let’s be fr

posted 6 months ago
  1. Lack of Team Synergy (a lot of the times they play together like comms are disabled and that shit won’t fly in their level of competition)

  2. Comp Issues (JohnQT Tejo prio is looking like a failure, he’s clearly too comfortable in anchor/lurk position like honestly SEN’s Tejo in general is looking way to unpolished to be spamming that much, why the fuck is Zellsis filling Cypher, the surprise Skye over Gekko on fucking Bind in a must win situation I mean really?)

  3. zekken (don’t know what happened to him but for how much SEN seems to be relying on him to create space and be their wall again for another year that boy has not been hitting his shots most of the time these days, also his Yoru is painfully mediocre, and that’s him playing in a much safer position vs Raze)

  4. N4RRATE (everyday he stays on SEN his confidence continues to disintegrate, lowkey might get benched because it really feels like he just does not mesh well with whatever system Kaplan’s got going on, he’s being used as nothing but Sacy replacement)

  5. Zellsis (he’s just bad, but he was already bad last year too, but now that there’s bigger problems going on he cannot afford to stay bad for another year lol)

BONUS: Too High of Expectations (I mean if I’m keeping it real, their ceiling is just overrated? I think getting grouped is expected out of this team in Bangkok when they’re up against VIT, G2, EDG, DRX, and T1 but losing to TL in terrible fashion should be the exclamation point to the fact that we shouldn’t expect much out of this team this year)
