To be fair I could just be mistaking it for another languedoc/provence city. My family drives by the coast on the way to Spain so we tend to stop at the French coastal cities for lunch (carrefour). We don't usually stop by Marseille, which is why I don't remember too much about it. I do recall it being a nice city though, despite not actually exploring it a lot.

It's been a while since I've been there, but I recall it being just fine and very similar (albeit a bit larger) to Montpellier. Why do you think it's the weirdest city?
