I've lost a little bit of respect for you after reading this reply
Üzgünüm, türkçe bilmiyorum
"no in between" as if it's possible to go 0.5-4.5 or something
3Blue1Brown's "Essence of linear algebra" series is genuinely the only reason I could ever do anything in linear algebra. Highly recommend if you haven't seen it yet
Row-reduced echelon form is the best :)
Too bad 90% of everything else in linear algebra is unfun because it's taught super unintuitively
Canada has won less trophies than Italy in the last decade
Doesn't matter how good/bad Italy might be, you tell a Canadian that they're playing a 4 time World Cup winner in their opening match and they're gonna be intimidated
Sure, I'll bite
I'm Canadian, so I'm feeling pretty good after this window. Bosnia has undeniable quality and they'll be a tough game, but our World Cup group is gonna be a lot less daunting without the prestige of Italy in it, and I think more people will favour us getting 2nd in that group now
As far as our friendlies this window are concerned, I'm optimistic. 2-2 vs. Iceland probably wasn't the result we wanted, but to concede twice in the first quarter of the game and maintain our composure like that is gonna be very important going into the World Cup. We got a good look at what a structured free-flowing European defense would look like, which will give us good experience going into our two matches against UEFA teams in groups. Our defense needed to be a lot better but I'm willing to look past it... a lot of our best defenders are out with injuries this window and the others got a chance to build some chemistry with the team. As for the 0-0 against Tunisia, we definitely looked a lot better across the board, so it's clear we learned quickly from the match 5 days earlier. We outplayed them, we just ended up struggling with the same thing we usually struggle with, which is creating and converting chances. That's probably what we'll have to focus on in our friendlies against Uzbekistan and Ireland in early June, because everything else seems solid, as far as the quality of Canada is concerned
(To respond to #11, I'm not fake flagging, I'm paying tribute to a friend)
Please tell us where you're actually from so we can all collectively laugh at you
All four of these teams qualified on merit. You could argue their paths were easier than others, but you can't say they don't deserve to make it
How do Belgium have 0 shots
So you, a SEN fan, are saying "SEN fan" is an insult?
Japan vs. Sweden on matchday 3 is gonna be a hella fun watch, can't wait :)
Tell me you know nothing about World Cup qualifying without telling me you know nothing about World Cup qualifying
No I don't want Sweden to make it either, the Nations League route is stupid and shouldn't exist
I still read threads and everything, I just have people blocked so I know to brace myself before seeing what they have the audacity to post online
You need to stop making threads bro what is this https://i.imgur.com/svhoYN6.png
Did you see who was missing from the Norwegian lineup?
Wouldn't say I'm hate watching anyone per se (there are way too many fun teams to root for have time to hatewatch) but these are the main teams I don't really want to do well:
Anemoia is when you feel nostalgic about a time/place/experience you didn't live
I find myself feeing anemoic quite often, honestly
It feels bad, honestly. If they don't make it, there's a whole generation of incredible Italian players that'll never get to play a World Cup match... a whole generation of Italian football fans that'll've never have seen their nation, a top 10 nation all time, no debate, play at the World Cup in their lifetime—which is incredibly unfortunate, considering their long history of being a dominant power
As funny as it is to us, you really do have to feel for the Italians... it must be depressing to see your nation fail to qualify when it has so much talent. I've friends with Nigerians and they're absolutely heartbroken that they're missing two tournaments in a row, so I can only imagine what the Italians are feeling
I hope Italy qualify simply for the culture. I wouldn't have them getting more than 4 points—I'm high on both Switzerland and Canada—but we'd all love to see them back on the world stage
At 1:32:52, mimi literally says "we need a little ragebait on this"
If you're treating this power ranking as any more than entertainment then idk what to tell you
I'm so glad I opened VLR today
As with all sports, there's club and there's country. Club football is exciting but I definitely recommend checking out international football, which is what I personally prefer watching!
The international window starts midway through next week, and lasts about a week. A couple national teams will be fighting for the last few spots at the World Cup, so there's a lot of drama there. The rest of the qualified teams (well, most of them) are playing preparation matches against each other... it'll be really cool watching teams try to experiment and get matches in before the tournament!
The World Cup itself is in June, and lasts until mid-July. 100% recommend checking that out—it's the biggest event not just in football, but the entire world, and that's not an exaggeration
Have you seen his player cam at all? He looks like he's casting a spell every time he flicks
That's my wizard goat 🗣️🔥
Absolutely agree with you
Do you really think the coaches that are at Santiago have the time to be posting on the internet? Of course it's the ones who didn't qualify who are voicing their opinions... the ones that are there are too busy
Who cares about the EPL when the UEFA and interconfederation playoffs are this month tbh
Indonesian is usually considered pretty easy for English speakers to learn so I don't think he'd struggle too much with it
KRÜ haven't even played yet and you're already hating 💔
How are CN meant to grow as a region if they don't get a chance at the international level?
This is like saying Asia should get less slots at the World Cup because they're not as good as European or South American or African teams... how are they meant to develop as footballing nations without World Cup experience and international exposure?
Directly rewarding/punishing entire regions for individual performances is the easiest way to create an insurmountable divide between the best and the worst
"Regional merchants" and it's the two finalists of the previous Masters 1
