because for a league as grassroots as gc is, it'd be more affected by this rank requirement than most of the normal leagues. if the entire goal of gc is to funnel talent into actual leagues, then increasing standard of play with stricter requirements than normal is kinda good for the scene......imo. Even tho chall leagues are asc+ req., a decent 50% of the t2 scene are already well established pros.
