agree with 1,2,4. Disagree with some of 3. Aggression isn't intrinsic, but a by-product of the fact that the average man is by default faster and stronger, and society has evolved based on the accentuation of those values (stronger/more aggressive men = higher status, weaker/less aggressive men = lower status), and the desire for this accentuation is in turn fueled by higher levels of testosterone, the status-seeking, drive providing hormone, and a more active dopamine system in men, which rewards them more for goal-oriented task completion.
The only relevant fact here however is that the average man has more drive/motivation to succeed than the average woman. Not even just in sports/esports, but literally just in general. How relevant this is to actual success tho is something that can't be measured, both in the competitive field and life/career paths, due to the fact that Drive/motivation << discipline and structure
.A worse team/player, no matter how "motivated" will always lose more times than not to a team that is simply just better prepared/more disciplined. You can motivate your way to winning a few rounds, but you can't motivate yourself to winning an entire series against a team that at that particular point in time, simply edges you out, even by miniscule margins. Couple that with a fuck ton of arbitrary factors in even just a singular round of any competitive video game, and the eventuality is a reality that is just as random, but ever so slightly tipped in favour of the average male competitor, which is really what we began with.
Overall it really just falls into the hands of the competitors. The reality is that the average female aspiring pro has to be 2x as disciplined as the avg male aspiring pro to make it, since by default, they simply aren't as motivated.
So,
jrock = jpop no? i thought jpop just meant popular/mainstream japanese music in general
im not a freak weaboo lmao i just think jpop covers so much more range and genuinely has stuff that everyone would enjoy. its not all cringe hype anime OPs
Jpop absolutely destroys that mid just checking to see if we all know this ok thx
EDIT: by JPOP, i mean popular japanese music in general, this covers a lot of genres.
olofboost my friend i am NOT watching a 40 min long thorin video LMFAO. would you be so kind as to summarise i would love to hear your findings.
Jpop>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Even the middest jpop song clears any of kpop's best. Absolutely criminal that jpop is not more popular in the west.
they're obv not as vile as this either wtf
i have way less money than i'd planned to have at this point , so that''s depressing. Everything else's pretty meh.
a good rule of thumb i use for life in general:
Every single person you will ever interact with is an absolute fucking weird disgusting human being until repeatedly proven otherwise. All relationships should be held at arms' length. Spouses are the only exception.
let it all out bro we're here for you
bro this tweet was literally what i factored in. I literally said (results + pro opinions) and by that metric, SR edge them out because of their recent achievements. They're literally rated right beside each other too.
First you call me out for factoring in pro scrim opinions (which is literally WHAT THIS IS BTW, his power rankings are based on what they've shown in scrims), and you go on to submit the very same opinion i considered(didnt even wholly accept btw cause basing my entire opinion off of his would be dumb). I recommend you do give it a rest LMFAO
cause even tho some gc players are t2, as of now t2 teams > gc teams.
prolly something to do with mental, team compatibility, all that jazz.
I've never been a fan of segregation on the basis of anything other than merit , and what i hope for, esp with these 10mans(hopefully they last), is the eventual breakdown of most of these gc teams and these players dispersing into actual mixed teams, which is the ultimate goal of the entire gc project.
V1's kinda cookin tho, and their players have been by far the most impressive in the server,so lettem cook.
NVM GOAT IS LIVE THREAD HIJACKED -> https://www.twitch.tv/sarahcantaim
idk if you heard but chamber kinda isn't relevant anymore, and as such players with chamber stats have to kinda reprove they can perform consistently at the same level -chamber. SR> faze because SR has undeniably leveled up from what they were (beating the TSM that would go on to beat SEN) and faze has yet to match that. The entire reason i brought pro scrim opinions into this is because faze literally have 0 results since the biggest meta shift in the game. Even then i still call the entire thing a tossup. what more do you want.
either you didn't read what i wrote or you have trouble comprehending it.
after an astonishingly mid run imo. Only impressive feat performed that tourney was beating eventual winners 100T, but even that might've been a fluke as they got absolutely dominated rematching in lowers over three maps.
Regardless, i will rescind my statement, as it seems each and every player has leveled up multiple tiers after franchising happened. No previous ratings matter anymore (a prime example of this is M80, who regardless of results, has been highly rated by every single pro) and all predictions (mine included) are honestly just blind takes rooted in fanboyism.
However, if i would be allowed to continue to offer a fanboy's take, it wouldn't be a matter of faze being mid, but that everyone else (SR specfically, dunno about G2) has evolved past them.
TL;DR:
previous take was way too harsh(honestly incorrect), SR>Faze>G2 (compiling results + opinions by pros), overall still a tossup as all prev ratings do not matter.
seen this dogshit take twice now. Even though they have their easier group, Faze is just as mid as any of the challenger teams that qualed. they are not getting past SR, much less G2.
nobody cut tier 3 pros dawg.if they fit the req, they will get in, just like anyone else. At the moment, the 10mans are very badly run, and some people who fit the requirements have been denied entry, most haven't. We literally have people like ethos and babyJ in the servers, as they actually do fit the requirements.
Moving forward tiers will also most likely be added, and the very top gc teams will get moved into tier2, as will top 15-30 t2 teams. The gc pros themselves agree with this format. calm the fuck down.
vro just wrote a whole bunch of nothing. no singular point has been made in this paragraph.
how does the elo distribution work?
flor is a vlr degen now you'll be seeing her around
sarah the CoD grinder reading this:
this is scripture.
swerl drops 30 in regulation on both maps
It really just depends on whatever direction tarik wants to take with this. If he wants glorified ranked (which is fine and the original purpose of this in the first place) then he lets all the t1/t2 pros in, but at that point, most people might rather just play ranked instead. Personally i think tiers are a much better approach to this tho, but idk. What i do know is he can't really keep as is, because people who are legitimately qualified are being denied entry.
thing is, zekken himself doesn't mind, but the rest of the pros have literally started avoiding q's to play with each other. dude's just proposing a solution.
he's literally not wrong tho lol. shit dies in a week if it keeps going as is cause none of the pros want to play with t2 randoms. not really the most empathetic solution, but at the end of the day the best one there is. Only addition is to make it so people who finish top of t2 get to climb to t1.
zeldris cause i loved watching him during quals, but in the present groups probably mada
sadly i've come to accept that he might just be delusional LMFAO look at this clip -> https://youtu.be/vBvYPOm-QAg
dude says he's already proved himself 💀
s0m and flor started vibing later on tho. just needed time to get familiar with each other ig+ flor wasn't talking much at first
as probably the only person in this forum who believed in him at one point, i must say he's been such a fucking disappointment 💀 not only that but he's also pretty toxic/super damp to his teammates as well. Fucking letdown. he'll 100% be the first one kicked.
she's been owning tho ngl. actually decently impressed by some of the gc players in this. v1 squad has been owning (somewhat expected they're all decent individually) but even tupperware and no-chamber keenc have been mad clean.
the real question is who tf let babyJ in 💀 does he even meet any of the requirements
forcefully dissociate from whatever's taking your time. Ur brain will try to convince you otherwise.
i agree its a poor example, but it proves the same thing, more or less. he anticipates it, and gets lucky on timing.
in FPS games, you can also technically cheat reaction time if you "anticipate" the opponent peeking in a particular spot in a particular frame of time, similar to how tenz achieves a reaction time of 95ms (this isnt humanly possible) in this vid simply by simply ANTICIPATING the time the green screen was gonna show up and sort of pre-clicking it https://youtu.be/1N_6kFDQRaE (this has been done many times before by many people)
there are soo many other counteracting factors but mods locked the thread before i could finish ;(
