it's actually the village idiot sentinalmain calling him a matchfixer because he needs someone to scapegoat for Fnatic falling short at champs again

posted about a year ago

Was NOT the problem. We will not accept any Hiro scapegoating.

  • He has guaranteed a spot in franchising with his performance, minus potential nepotism out of orgs next season
  • He is probably better than 90% of EMEA franchised players
  • He exceeded anything you can fairly expect out of a rookie, especially out of his first LAN
  • He ended with a higher rating than Sayf and (as of the time of writing) Benjyfishy
  • Fnatic played the best they have the entire year with him in the roster

We will not accept any Hiro scapegoating.

Lets look at arguably the most important round on lotus, the Sacy clutch to give SEN the lead and momentum

https://youtu.be/_yFTXXqP-NY?si=Y-9u40oHAZhFh8ht

3v2 for Fnatic, Johnqt viper ult

  • Boaster low HP
  • Hiro tagged a little
  • Chronicle full hp

Hiro throws an eye that forces john to shoot it, revealing his position, and hiro kills him.

Viper Ult is now down. 3v1 for FNC

Sacy counter eye's that scans Hiro as the ult is falling, gets the trade, not an mistake from hiro, just a great play from sacy, nothing he could do about that and he made the play that put them in the winning position.

Boaster, who is on 1hp and should try to group up with a full hp Chron to bait himself and get the trade decides to just run in and take a fight in an untradeable position and gets put down.

It's now a 1v1, Sacy wins it.

But keep telling me Hiro is the problem. Did everything you can ask and more out of a rookie, Fnatic played the best they have the entire year with him. Ended with a higher rating than benjyfishy and sayf.

Hiro guaranteed a spot in franchising next season because of his performance and Fnatic looked the best they've been all year when he joined.
He's better than 95% of players in EMEA franchising. You just want to scapegoat him to explain why Fnatic fell short at champs again

GMB Nats lurks would get shut down in a swiftplay today

Also Cned is on that list and we know what happened with that...

I can name 2 teams that were better than Fnatic when they won Tokyo, but the boaster fangirls just can't accept the obvious 😂😂😂

This is the type of stuff PRX comes up with then wonder why everything falls apart once they get to a high level

Fair enough, sounds like you actually do need a physical copy. Still, if an ebook for a specific version you want exists, and you can find the pdf for free online (very likely), you could just use the pdf and if you ever get in any hot water with somebody you just go ahead and buy the ebook.

posted about a year ago

unless you absolutely 100% need a physical copy why not just get a pdf and keep it on your computer for personal use? nobody's gonna rat you out that's just paranoia. If you're really that scared just don't tell anyone lmao its not hard. And if it's physics and the old version truly doesn't exist (the site I sent has almost everything), is there a reason you can't just get a more modern version on the same topic?

congratulations on alfajer for getting the trades, Less was by far the best senti in the lobby every time. "only 3' is also alot for international matchups. Also consider the following: https://www.vlr.gg/390305/underrated-champs-23-moment

posted about a year ago

what is all this incoherent yapping? i didn't even use the words 'stats' or 'luck'

the reality is FNC have trophies because of boaster and the team

They have one trophy (the worthless one broke on the plane) that they got because the other two best teams at the time (Champs #1 and #2) had visa issues that for their star duelists (Pacific MVP and Future Champs MVP).

Here's a chronological timeline of Fnatic's placements at majors in the franchising era
#1 (visa issues)
----------------------------------------------------
4th (no visa issues)
Missing (no visa issues)
7th/8th (no visa issues)
5th/6th (no visa issues)

posted about a year ago

face it prx was never gonna beat fnatic who lost to two teams the entire year

Did a whole write up of why this is isn't true and the evidence suggests the exact opposite, take a look at the PRX portion in particular, it's one only paragraph: https://www.vlr.gg/393738/fnatic-was-never-great TLDR: Everything that happened for the next year suggested that they would have

Wanna know why they only lost to two teams?

barely won preseason tourney (no losses obv) ------>

Dominates bum league (name the 2nd best team in EMEA '23 and what they accomplished) (1 loss to liquid, probably a fluke, liquid was trash)------>

Plays 3 teams at Tokyo, only one of which they were truly better than. PRX would very likely have, and EG forsure would have beaten them if not for visa issues affecting their star players ('0' losses) ------>

Runs into the 3rd best team at champs twice, would have definitely, without any doubt, lost to PRX and EG at this point, had they faced them (2 losses to same team) ------> "wE oNlY lOSt tO tWo TeAmS tHe EnTiRe YeAr"

having a close game with a good team has historically not mattered when scaling how good another team is

The entire basis of scaling is by looking at how teams do against each other. Obviously not perfect, but nothing is in this world. There is literally no other way.

not yet, they were (mostly) anti-cypher sova shocks for ascent and haven (and crazy trips that will counter any lineup) from positions that are much more convenient than most of the common methods that were available at the time (ex: from Ascent A lobby at the start of the round, or from inside A main itself, and from a completely safe position in C lobby for virtually every C trip possible).
For ascent in particular, I specifically developed them to counter a trip that I don't want to talk about much because I don't want it to become super common knowledge yet, but some pro teams have been using (Hint: Suygetsu got a kill from it against gentle mates)

Neither team has faced a cypher on ascent or haven yet, so not yet, but it would feel awesome if they pulled my stuff out.

The real answer is that the game is too new and it's way too early to declare a decisive goat (although if Lev wins it will be Aspas, if SEN wins it will be TenZ)

But if I had to choose one, I'm going with Less. A champion with literally unparalleled dominance in his role. A walking matchup problem. Has hard gapped basically everyone that has ever been considered a top player in senti.

1-0 Nats
https://www.vlr.gg/247103/team-liquid-vs-loud-valorant-champions-2023-group-stage-elim-d 1.43 vs 0.70
1-0 Suygetsu
https://www.vlr.gg/247104/natus-vincere-vs-loud-valorant-champions-2023-group-stage-decider-d 1.23 vs 0.96
3-0 Alfajer
https://www.vlr.gg/167393/loud-vs-fnatic-champions-tour-2023-lock-in-s-o-paulo-gf 1.20 vs 0.97
https://www.vlr.gg/248270/fnatic-vs-loud-valorant-champions-2023-playoffs-ubqf 1.23 vs 1.06
https://www.vlr.gg/248282/fnatic-vs-loud-valorant-champions-2023-playoffs-lr3 1.14 vs 0.80
1-0 Meteor
https://www.vlr.gg/312766/gen-g-vs-loud-champions-tour-2024-masters-madrid-swiss-stage-r1 1.26 vs 0.91

Just take a second and think about how good alfajer is, and how much better Less was every time. Unbelievable. Funnily enough, the only top senti to ever really get the better of him was Johnqt, so if SEN wins champs they may truly be the GOATS.

It wasn't competitive (at all, literally 0 competitive integrity) in the sense of being legit or mattering, but that wasn't the point, it was to showcase the teams in the new franchising system and generate interest, which it did very well. Alot of the matches were great too, I still think that Loud v NRG fracture is the single greatest map of all time.

Proved my point in #14

If i'm gonna choke which should I take inspiration from?

FNC vs DRX at Champs 22? (Mako 1v2) (Not really a choke since DRX was better)
FNC vs Loud at Champs 23? (Tuyz 1v3) (Also not a choke since Loud was better)
FNC vs SEN at Champs 24? (Sunset 11-9) (Also not a choke since SEN is better)

you can't engage in reasonable discussion because your narrative isn't reasonable or supported by the evidence. If it was, you would try to.

calling tokyo a fluke is crazy. considering prx cant win a b05

PRX can't win bo5s is a meme but its not a serious point (they beat GEN.G in a bo5 btw, right before they won shanghai). The fact is that with something, they were immediately better than Fnatic for a year straight. And their best form that they were ever in was Champs 23, literally one month after Tokyo.

the mickey mouse format only had 2 teams that were good that didnt do well in lock//in

We actually don't know who was really good or bad at that time due to the mickey mouse format (as well as being preseason). The worst team of all time -'23 Karmine Corp - looked promising vs Loud, as did GEN.G who were also really bad. The there was C9 beating PRX (lmao) and Navi also looking good (NAVI was terrible all year except for 2 games during champs).

optic should be the only ones questioned for visa issue tournament wins

It's not like the same rules don't apply...

Fnatic were the 3rd best team in the world at the time of Tokyo, the post explains exactly why, and it's not even that long. Everything that has happened since has proven my point correct (that they were never great).

Think i'm wrong? tell me what part of my analysis I got wrong and be specific, I guarantee I will respond to it (but I doubt you will because the truth hurts).

posted about a year ago

Meme Answer: They are eternally cursed to place somewhere between 3rd-6th

Real Answer: They have everything they need to win right now imo, they should just run it back next season. More experience for this young core could do wonders, they definitely have enough talent on the team.

posted about a year ago

Incorrect. They still haven't won a major legit. Lock-in was a preseason showcase tourney with a worthless trophy that fell apart instantly. And they were the 3rd best team in the world at the time of tokyo, see the following:

https://www.vlr.gg/393738/fnatic-was-never-great

When the win conditions of

  • Mickey Mouse Format
  • Other teams best players having visa issues

aren't met. We see who they really are

4th
Missing
7th/8th (winless and got embarrassed by fut)
5th/6th (one good win was over G2, who are mid and self admitted chokers)

Furthermore lets stop the narrative that that paycheck stealer is essential to them. They rely on mech-checking their opponents. His calling is awful, its not speculation, we can hear it.

This day will forever mark a historic day of learning.

Chronicle learned the hard way - the difference between an overrated chump and a true champ

Derke learned the hard way - that he can't crouch spray eco farm his way past Mr. 100+

Boaster learned the hard way - the difference between a leader who elevates and carries his team, leading by example versus an example of being carried

Alfajer learned the hard way - that no matter how much he is glazed as the wonderkid, it's someone else's world that he's just living in

Hiro learned the hard way - the difference between a player who just steps in versus one who steps up

Thank you Sentinels. It was beautiful to watch you piss on a fraudulent legacy today. A moment that will be eternally etched in history.
