Ardiis jokes a lot, but the whzy winning sunset moment is one of those moment u can't ignore. Whzy expression shows it.

FPX tried, but didn't get their breakthrough. Keep running into walls with close games vs TH.

posted 2 months ago

The determining factor would be breakthroughs. EDG accomplished this when during masters Tokyo. Step 1 for other CN teams would be beating EDG in VCT CN, Step 2 would be making a run at internationals similar to EDG. That benefit both the upcoming CN team and make eye opening performance for international people.

When BLG won against TL, ardiis acknowledge whzy passion celebration on that sunset win and 2nd guessing whether he doubting CN teams. Winning 13-1 would be a better convincing way to do it like the 2 pacific team rn. These are positive forward steps to achieve it.

Chichoo said this before in content/interview:

EDG is in a very lucky position because we've been to many international event, practicing against international teams during our travel, and those international practice/matches help them to grow as a player.

Remember Pre partnership ZETA? When JP had international slot when they go overseas they get blacklisted by MANY teams after practice which I would say to this day hindered the JP growth.

TLDR; facing international teams is important for player's development.

Domestic level of competitiveness means they have multiple strong teams for internationals. In reality a lot of the Chinese teams are very inexperienced at international stage. Lysoar have international experience but his omen performance vs SEN was horrible. Pacific has PRX/GenG/RRQ/DRX/T1/Boom super competitiveness at domestic level. PRX 13-1 TH and GenG 13-1 MIBR. CN needs this level of convincingness to easily say that CN better than EMEA.

XLG and many Chinese teams would only practice against Pacific teams, improvising in strats is good but having international experience matters a lot.

Karon contract expire end of this year. If he pulls a meteor and move to T1, they would be very solid.

  • A lot of people don't watch china and only watch them at internationals, ofc they would always think EMEA is better by hindsight (example mini)
  • CN I would say is still in developing, EDG have breakthrough the international barrier to international people but for china to be better than other region, china need to achieve what pacific is doing this year, T1/DRX/GenG/Boom/RRQ/PRX level of domestic competitiveness.

I mean Wolves not BLG my bad.

posted 2 months ago

The way I see it is similar to alecks mindfreak situation. Alecks said if any of the starting players are heavy underperforming mindfreak is there to pick up the slack. For T1, if any1 is underperform their starting position could be replaced by someone in the academy. T1 missing Toronto could be seen as giving time to tryout new player like what EDG is doing now since Jieni didn't produce result.

SEN was only playing americas teams, Kaplan in half time interview did say it's hard to play Wolves cause they can't find teams (in americas) that play similar to Wolves. This is why international teams are always more difficult.

posted 2 months ago

At the time yes, but I wouldn't count on them being shite in the upcoming stage 2 with brand new map pool and meta. Also we could see Sylvan replaced in starting. Buzz/Stax/Meteor core on paper shouldn't be bad.

posted 2 months ago

GenG had the whole suggest in, foxy9 out
If mini and panda never joined PRX they wouldn't have improved so much.
Boom choked in playoff.
RRQ unexpected pacific winner.
What I'm saying is any of DRX/T1/Boom/GenG/PRX/RRQ are all so competitive and could make Toronto.

posted 2 months ago

tbf, out of all the 0-1 teams, Wolves looks the best. If Lysoar can step up in the next game they can beat Liquid.

posted 2 months ago

MIBR have many rookies playing their 1st international game. They had no chance beating GenG. Pacific is so competitive that even DRX and T1 didn't even qualify.

s0n is the only western teams that draw viewership. Bugha help that org gain any sort of international eyes and tarik/TenZ pick up from there.

Only 3 straight events. The entire 2021, 2022 and lock in Brazil (7 straight events) that’s what KR, JP and CN fans have been dealing with. SEA fans only got lucky with 1 Istanbul event time. Seoul champs had 9.1 mil viewers and Bangkok had 4.3 million viewers. Meanwhile LA champs only had like 1.8mil viewers. RIOT knew Asia Timezone is best for viewership.

HI HO WOLVERHAMPTON

and the team is in losing form, with things to fix before next game.

posted 2 months ago

you're too used to the CN and APAC high level production from last 3 events.

posted 2 months ago

Yep the classic double standard treatment. Just be happy that Australia is far away from any BS the world has to offer.

posted 2 months ago

If you do, watch in CN audio. The JP audio doesn't fully sync when the character speaks. Its quite minimal but my OCD caught it and saw some comment confirm it too.

posted 2 months ago

Yay join C9 and NA fans would call it "superteam".

posted 2 months ago

Agree. 2021 Champs LCQ 2 OCE teams suppose to compete in NA LCQ, Robbed OCE slot and gave it to 2 NA teams instead. OCE would've had valorant growth back then.

EU problem no 2 exactly. Potato PC and Scheduling. Don't need to extend EU problem to entire VCT.

posted 2 months ago

SEN have the same roster as the 0 wins bangkok roster. Bound to happen again.
#WOLVESWIN

posted 2 months ago

thats EMEA's own fault for having potato PC.

posted 2 months ago

This isn't CS and fortnite where EU gets 3x to 5x of asia international slots. Fair Game.

posted 2 months ago

EU parliament saw yesterdays match both losses and beg canada for express visa.

C9 Korea tried, TNL tried, but only Nuturn manage to break VS 100 wins record. F4Q manage to maker internationals cause there were 1 instance where KR was given 2 internationals. East Asia LCQ for champs is the only chance for KR teams to make internationals without facing VS/DRX.

posted 2 months ago

u have east russian talents now to pick up, If EMEA wants to give them fair trial chance. Ignore Gambit roster, roster of Jemkin/kr1stal/vo0kashu/rarga/dos9 would make internationals for EMEA.

posted 2 months ago

how on earth would t3xture/meteor/Munchkin get any international experience? T3xture's talent was buried in Damwon/Dplus, would never see Karon either if VS/DRX keeps taking the 1 international slot.

posted 2 months ago

That's how Optic and SEN manage to get their international trophy in the past, by having more international slots. Now we see it in GenG and T1 since korea finally got more slots. Meteor would never won 2 titles without moving to JP Northeption roster to get international experience.

posted 2 months ago

When partnership 1.0 ends in 2026 and everyone became Free Agent, just re-assamble the GAMBIT roster for 2027.

posted 2 months ago

still more hopes than EMEA in these 2 starting games.

posted 2 months ago

going to see just how good TH is as a team

when? is this for 2027?

posted 2 months ago

people need to get rid of this underestimate of cn region. Sliggy done his homework and he knows BLG are more favoured.

posted 2 months ago

Pacific was basically just the DRX show

Cause back then KR was restricted to 1 international slot. It takes a Nuturn and 2 KR slot F4Q to get another korean teams into internationals. Munchkin had to move to JP to make internationals and XETA have to move to US.

posted 2 months ago

it is for Pacific and CN. More of Rarga/vo0kashu/something/jemkin/kr1stal the better.

posted 2 months ago

EMEA in shambles.

posted 2 months ago

it is now, but not back pre partnership days.

posted 2 months ago

Asia on top!

posted 2 months ago

EMEA only good when they have more international slots like CS and early valo days. Give asia (pacific & CN) equal international slot, we own you guys.

For recon get kr1stal
