new org entering korea? i can see suggest poached onto dk but when you have t3xture already theres not much reason to have allow, considering his sova hasnt looked toptier level compared to his jett

posted about 2 years ago

not really a random team, theyre all streamers/pros, zest is part of vs and goddead was former f4q, sunday was former t1kr

posted about 2 years ago

yep, roster is full thai

Roster:

  • Laz (not the Zeta laz)
  • mairolls
  • qqgod
  • raigard
  • xZe
  • w1zard: Coach
They’ll be playing in Thailand circuits :)

i see him acting as a benchwarmer/content creator because of the amount of strategies he knows while playing for vs, maybe waiting for a poach offer?

posted about 2 years ago

Currently Zest is still considered on medical leave and is inactive from Vision Strikers, but what will be the team’s plan with him moving forward, seeing as there are now 2 others who play his role?
Will we see a functional 7 man roster (Rb, Lakia/King, Zest?) or will he just be dropped entirely/moved to content?

posted about 2 years ago

once again, tnl still cant beat vs :(

posted about 2 years ago

where did you hear this from? no way its only -eugene, pretty sure theyre rebuilding around t3xture/intro and possibly jeong hi

posted about 2 years ago

it would probably be bo1s, especially if league already does them
otherwise i understand where you come from :)

posted about 2 years ago

Would you prefer to see LCQs for Champions qualification or have Play-ins from the highest circuit point teams, Worlds style?
Just wanna know what you think :)

comeback of the best team 2-0 i need girlfriend :)

posted about 2 years ago

https://www.oneesports.gg/valorant/lakia-play-against-chinese-teams/
tldr: they play as if its a deathmatch

  • Chinese teams are more aggressive than NA
  • Focused on taking fast aim duels
  • Don’t care much for agent util
posted about 2 years ago

The korean team I need Girlfriend is back after ceasing to exist in Stage 3 Korean challengers and will be making a return in the ShotVal Pride tournament in a group with Spear Gaming
The only former ING member to be in this roster will be Mandu, but its good to see the return of the team :)

posted about 2 years ago

they didnt buy him, his contract ended and lakia approached vs directly about joining the team ^^

posted about 2 years ago

In a video by the Valorant Korea account for the upcoming ShotVal tournament, a team of notable players (xzi, doenmo, etc) had a scrim showmatch against Vision Strikers on Bind and Icebox, and while it might not be an accurate indicator of VS’ champions plans, its still something for now :)
Icebox:

  • VS possibly practicing +Lakia (Sova), -Rb, same comp besides that
    Bind:
  • Standard VS comp + roster (-k1ng, +Lakia), Lakia still put on Skye over Sova
also Xzi was farming VS in both matches

stax is up there, good firepower, consistent, has great mechanics
definitely up there in contention for the best igls

will give genuine advice here but make sure when they say any questions, actually ask questions ^^ itll make you look like youre paying attention and care for the job

Hello! After F4Q vs. Nuturn, FiveK had a stream regarding what will be the future of both the team and its players. The vod is sub-only however this is a translation of what he said regarding the future of the players:

  • Unrelated, but FiveK had been sick during Berlin and had some bad side effects due to medications and being unable to go to a physiotherapist until going back to Korea
  • FiveK and Efina will return to streaming
    • Bunny will also return to streaming, potentially retiring from professional play?
  • Esperanza will be seeking out a new organization to play under
  • FiveK is unsure about what will happen with Zunba, thinks he will be retiring to fulfill military service
posted about 2 years ago

if anyone is interested in watching full sense vs x10 (with pati), they will be facing against eachother in the FPSThailand Regular Season, which can be found here: https://www.twitch.tv/FPSThailand
x10 has been making some... interesting role changes, but it could just be comp practice? itll be an interesting match however this is just a qualifier for the offline fpsthailand finals, but itll be fun to see the 2 thai champions face off for the first time since stage 2! :)

you must enroll at any time for 18 months from 18-28 y/o besides if you are deemed unfit to attend

posted about 2 years ago

fivek has already done it i think, esperanza and efina are young and have multiple years to go before having to attend

posted about 2 years ago

think that only applies for the notable representatives though, unless people like faker still arent exempt

posted about 2 years ago

hai already has their tryout roster (shotval page) and it doesnt look too promising besides redwater, itll be a while before orgs like talon and mystic join though, but depending on whos picked up i can see efina definitely being signed
i just think fivek and esperanza are better fits to damwon due to the rebuild, as an igl fivek seems like a good bet and esperanza is a driving force to f4q's berlin performance

posted about 2 years ago

18 months, you can choose any time from 18-28 in korea to do your service
only people exempt are those deemed mentally unfit to go to service or sports atheletes, esports wise i think only lol, dota, and sc2 players are exempt

posted about 2 years ago

where did you hear hanwha is going to val? surely if theyre joining afreeca has to aswell right

posted about 2 years ago

i see esperanza and fivek (as igl) playing for damwon, not sure about anyone else though, maybe efina back to tnl or play for an org like talon/spear? bunny and zunba military service though :(

posted about 2 years ago

50/50 game
if hyeoni plays well, nuturn can take it but if damwon keeps their momentum, damwon might win
NU ban ascent, DK ban icebox, NU pick bind, DK pick haven, NU pick split

posted about 2 years ago

no because its the equivalent of using your passport to create an account (not sure if thats the best analogy)
you cant make an account in korea without having to verify your id because korea really cares about hackers for some reason
if you have a korean student id i think that works too but otherwise, best bet is to buy one

posted about 2 years ago

damwon always starts slow in tournaments, theyve been starting to show life now against boom and reject, lets just hope for a good match here :)

posted about 2 years ago

you need a korean identification card to make a korean server account

posted about 2 years ago

esperanza has some of the best spray transfers ive seen and somehow always manages to find one on the hunters fury, a lot of times gets multiple at once, was a driving force in bringing f4q to berlin
definitely an underrated player along with mako and hann

posted about 2 years ago

you can tell his disappointment with himself after berlin ended too, hes worked to improve since then and he’s truly passionate for the future of his team
hes insane man :)

posted about 2 years ago

roughly translated from post match interview:
“when I was in the 1v3, I didnt think to myself that the round and match was over, rather I recalled and drew inspiration from the Korean fencer [Park Sang-young] at the Olympics who had the phrase ‘I can do it’ and willed himself to get the gold medal”
mvp of the series, good job and good luck to sa in the future! :)

posted about 2 years ago

hopefully we’ll get a good kr server match, both teams should be more used to their ping now and play more to par
2-1 can go anyone’s way unless hyeoni goes insane, maybe f4q edge out if they play berlin style

posted about 2 years ago

no problem! its been a treat to watch sa lcq so far, 6k and glb are very entertaining to watch ^^

posted about 2 years ago
  • not many any one sided games
  • (hopefully) real lan environment
  • flashy, entertaining games
  • most matches are close and unpredictable
  • not many tech pauses as other lcqs
  • hype casters
  • observers are doing good
  • no conflict besides some amazing banter from vivo keyd manager
south america lcq has actually been a thrill to watch! :)
posted about 2 years ago

SEA stepped up, tournament circumstances favor apac south and adapted better, 3/5 of damwon was released, f4q changing their playstyle completely, nuturn looks not to be in reykjavik/stage 3 form
overall lcq did not favor korea at all and kr couldnt adapt to their play environment compared to challengers, sea was much more used to ping etc

posted about 2 years ago

the experience youll gain by losing to other asian teams in the case of korea, where this is one of the few opportunities to learn and play with something at risk is a bigger payoff than making it through lcq with little learnt until champions
sometimes losing is what a team needs to make that extra step to its fullest potential! :)

posted about 2 years ago

i think korea underperforming is a good thing here
korea doesnt get chances to practice to this caliber, the fact that fs 13-0d and damwon 1-2 ge is a signal that something needs to change if more teams want to compete against vs
korea comes back stronger whenever down like this, and with hai, spear, and sga confirmed to join will be the start of something new for kr valorant
only ups from here, this is good practice for all of kr even if they underperform, and let’s see what the rest of apac can pull off here in lcq :)

posted about 2 years ago

dont discredit south america too, they may not have the best caliber of play but its so much fun to watch
6/8 or so teams are around the same level and feels massively unpredictable at times

posted about 2 years ago

i know it was a 13-0? not trying to discredit fs because they were playing out of their mind in that series

posted about 2 years ago

lower ping doesnt necessarily mean they have the advantage because the ping isnt equal. korea might have 40 ping up against 70 in sea, however playing on 70 ping has advantages and disadvantages that 40 doesnt
sea is most likely much more used to having to play 70 ping (sea internet is not always the best) though compared to a korean playing on 40, because korea is always used to single digit or 10/20 ping

posted about 2 years ago

i think why sea is more prepared for lcq is because the circumstances of how the actual tournament plays out (teams, ping, etc) heavily favors sea, where they get consistently good practice/scrim partners and can play on the fly on high and low ping, where korea doesn’t have many competitive teams to scrim in their region, having to always turn to sea/jp, however sea has just been playing out of their mind here + never really having to play in high/mid ping outside of sea scrims
the conditions of apac lcq arent enough imo to gather whether sea really is better or not, for now kr is still 3rd with sea being very close behind
is korea a bad region for underperforming against sea/sa and even japan? absolutely not, but korea hasnt been up to par with what we expected
however, is the rest of apac catching up? yes, theyre catching up fast
