honestly he should get an ip ban and a therapist, lying about that type of shit has to be a sign of mental illness

people lying on the internet about death for fake points is pretty common, sadly

very cringe but what can you do

nobody could have predicted NTH to be here but i'm all for it

NTH 3-2 TBD (dwg)

even though f4q are disbanding, things are looking up for the korean scene. after champions a lot of reputable korean orgs are interested in getting into the scene, we'll definitely see Esperanza competing again soon.

welcome to the randomness you get when you host an online tournament with teams from all over asia

posted about 2 years ago

this is my first time hearing the rumor but sounds like a good change
mertz is a fucking animal and NBK has so much of the experience that the EMEA scene is currently sorely lacking

posted about 2 years ago

yeah, korean law doesn't give a fuck about your influencer job lmao. vast majority of people hate how the system works but it is how it is

posted about 2 years ago

as someone who's followed f4q for a long ass time (was a fan of zunba back in overwatch days) it's been really remarkable to see their progress as a team

if you told me that bunny would be playing jett and fivek would be playing viper, and genuinely fighting through a tournament i would have called you a liar

they've made great strides. it's sad we won't be seeing them at champs, and that this is probably the last time we'll see this roster of 5. but they deserve to be commended

every guy has to do it yes, the only people that get pardoned are ones that do "great service" for the country (like olympic medalists)

That's interesting if you think the gap isn't that large. Then again I expect them to have upgraded further after gaining experience at Berlin, but only time will show that. Comparing teams like this is an pretty tricky thought experiment

posted about 2 years ago

yeah i don't mention VK ZD because to me it seems like VK is clearly stronger than the LATAM teams here, whereas CR might actually be similar to the remaining APAC teams + HL is actually currently in the event

posted about 2 years ago

what's the basis of this ranking? i don't have an opinion because i haven't sat down and tried to rank them but it seems really difficult to accurately compare teams that have never played one another and basically have no competitive overlap whatsoever

the only relevant context we have between any of these teams is CR destroying HL, and then using the strength of JP->APAC relative to CR

posted about 2 years ago

i remember at iceland gaabx was like an aimbot against nuturn map 1

then after that it was all downhill for them but for that short while they looked insane

posted about 2 years ago

nobody should be surprised at china's preferential treatment lmao, its basically irrelevant to talk about at this point. riot will always do whatever puts them in favor with tencent

theres no point even getting upset over it lmao. they're a business in the end

posted about 2 years ago

the problem with this site is that people that have no clue what they're talking about are convinced that they do

it's my fault i really shouldn't have typed in the first place. it's like talking to a brick wall sometimes. i don't use any "big words" you're just dumb as a rock dude.

gonna stop myself from typing any more, hf replying

If envy are best in na and better than 100T and sentinels. Why didn’t they even take a map in gf

because gambit is the better team, and they were stylistically compatible against them?

What is this non-sequitur lol, what does being the best team in NA have to do with beating the best team in EMEA...?

Your logic is so faulty

posted about 2 years ago

korea deserves 2 slots for what?

getting third at the first international LAN event over an EU and NA representative, and getting out of the hardest group at the second international LAN, beating the #2 EMEA team and only losing to the eventual champions?

???????????????????????????????????????? are you dumb in the head????

posted about 2 years ago

nobody is "jumping you" lmao, i just wanted to hear why you think that. overdramatic

100T best envy more ( doesn’t mean anything to u guys )

you say "doesn't mean anything to you guys" as if it should. this is obviously a new roster with a distinct playstyle compared to back when they had mummay. they picked up literally the best player in all of NA, why would you cite results that he wasn't even involved in?

i'd hope you aren't factoring in the match they had in the berlin qualifier, where Envy had 4 days of practice... lmao... that would be incredibly dumb especially considering they were already qualified at that point

100T beat gambit and they have a 100% stronger mental than envy

this is how strategic matchups work in valorant. certain teams have playstyles that favour certain matchups, this should be obvious.
and you don't know anything about envy's mental so talking in absolutes (100% stronger mental) is a joke LMAO. what do you know about their mental? are you in their comms?

the rest of your comment is meaningless

what i'm getting from this is that it's literally all just random conjecture that you have no actual evidence for

posted about 2 years ago

you should at least have a logical reasoning for your "hot take"

obviously the latest International LAN, the most important event in the VCT circuit so far, would affect how people rate envy.
the level of competition was a degree above Iceland, and they went through the entire tournament without losing a single map until the finals.

defend your take

posted about 2 years ago

people need to stop clinging onto close matches when they're like 2, 3 rounds off. In the end the team that won, won for a reason.

After a day nobody talked about how T1 was 1 round away from eliminating Sentinels from qualifying to Iceland, it's just how the game goes.

Obsessing over the fine details is not the way to analyze games

posted about 2 years ago

you don't know what's going on in their head. different people have different ways of coping with loss, try to not psychonanalyze people it makes you look like a weirdo

posted about 2 years ago

i love fivek's passion. the stuff he said after berlin really resonated with me

posted about 2 years ago

They're obviously still better, you can't attend two international LANs, do well at both, and then wipe those feats away because of one online qualifier LMAO

i think they just need to get used to more diverse playstyles, they got too used to competing against each other which made them a bit more rigid than they should be

posted about 2 years ago

it's not worthy risk if you're losing games. it's only worthy if the results show that it offsets the risk.

best example is yay from envy, he takes a huge amount of risks but they pay off in the end

so he’s really going to force this jett until the tournament ends huh? idk if the coach told him to stop playing raze or what, but feels pretty bad when he’s clearly so much better on the agent

hope he proves me wrong but not impressed at all thus far

oh that’s fair, you’re right that in reality it’s probably somewhere in the middle. between the extremes of “FNS did everything” and “mikes did everything”

personally i will lean towards the former because FNS has already established his place as a top igl for over 5 years already though

posted about 2 years ago

i am praying you’re not trying to say shahzam is a more tactical igl than fns

posted about 2 years ago

pro tip for your future fakeflagging endeavors, east asians don’t do the space between commas, that’s a pretty indian habit

posted about 2 years ago

you are giving mikes way too much credit

there is no such thing as being grateful or ungrateful in business, nobody is entitled to anything

FNS has been one of the best minds in NA for the greater part of a decade and people think mikes literally carried envy to finals for no fucking reason

posted about 2 years ago

don't necessarily need to be duelists, just duos that are constantly fragging and have a huge presence in every match

imo keloqz and nukkye, asuna and ethan are perfect examples. i want to see scream and nivera as time goes on as well

posted about 2 years ago

In a way Korea is responsible for this jump in SEA's strength, PRX credited VS a ton for giving them high quality practice which in turn allowed them to upgrade their game and then give back to the rest of the community.

People are obsessed with fighting each other but the truth is APAC getting stronger as a whole is only good for each region, korea included. The scene overall getting better means kr gets better practice, and then they symbiotically improve each other.

Lmao this online tournament isn't even over yet and people are already making wild, sweeping claims about regional strengths. Very interesting and definitely not reactionary takes from vlr yet again

posted about 2 years ago

i'd like to think the actual racists make up a small minority of this site. there are a lot of dumbasses here but in my mind they're not malicious dumbasses.

posted about 2 years ago

what do you expect, the behavior of indian fans caused a bunch of hate to go towards their way, and then people like kroverlord trying to 1v1000 an entire country riled them up even more lmao

posted about 2 years ago

I had NU PRX 50/50 before this series, and while I'm not jumping to conclusions like everyone else saying wow nuturn is awful, this definitely shifts it significantly in the favour of PRX. They looked so dominant and comfortable I wouldn't be surprised to see them coast through the tournament from here on out.
