I'm not well versed in the subject at all but I have dabbled in it as I write a lot of fiction and occasionally make maps to augment the worldbuilding of the story. The mapmaking subreddit is a really useful database of information, their wiki here https://www.reddit.com/r/mapmaking/wiki/index should be of great help to you if it's what you're looking for.

I will say mapping a location that already exists, whether real or fictional, is muuuch easier than trying to map an area you've created from scratch. Holy hell did it give me a headache trying to figure out proportions and making sure things don't contradict points already established in the story.

Good luck!

just wait for the next open qualifier, you can see TSM have the most intense games of their career against a random immortal mix

not gonna lie i think they did better than most expected, really fun team and brought some of the most entertaining gameplay at Berlin

cant wait to see them pop off at LCQ

When you have a star player in an growing, underrepresented region you don't want to lose them. Better for them to help facilitate the scene's growth and continue to represent their region in international events, even if it means they won't experience immediate success. Same goes for players like Takej and Laz in japan.

it's always amazed me that the korean teams are performing so well despite having such a tiny player population. it's why i doubted nuturn back before they started their iceland run, it just seemed impossible to me when the game was popping off in the other regions.

i think the korean scene is blessed to have multiple veterans like solo, glow, termi, argency, there as a guiding figure to the younger players. If it was just the cracked zoomers going around tapping heads I know they would never reach this level of success.

Looking forward to the day where Valorant becomes huge in korea (hopefully someday), I think we'll see multiple teams stronger than Vision Strikers ever was once that happens.

it’s definitely possible, odds of it happening will vary based on bracket draw though

posted about 2 years ago

I’m sure they get smacked by eu teams in scrims all the time lol nothing new

posted about 2 years ago

I mean termi even hesitated to say it because he knows scrims are meaningless, just clickbait for headlines

posted about 2 years ago

well they do have a map they don’t use her on, bind. which is currently the only map lakia is brought in for

posted about 2 years ago

he’s supposed to replace k1ng on maps they don’t want sentinels on. and while kings been insane so far in korean matches he’s known to choke occasionally when the stakes are high

posted about 2 years ago

I guess lmao I think everyone assumes VS just wanted to fuck over nuturn because they internally don’t believe in 6 man rosters

there’s definitely more to it than just “xd fuck nuturn”

posted about 2 years ago

Realistic answer is that they just haven’t had the time to incorporate him into the comps on every map, he is supposed to play on Bind though.

all of the VS players are so individually skilled that they aren’t really hurting themselves by not playing him so it’s not that bad of a situation

A team with no weak links, every single player is capable of carrying the game on their shoulders if necessary. Kinda reminds me of another valorant team that’s pretty decent :^)

posted about 2 years ago

I’d say it’s a large factor, every single NA player at Berlin was a cs pro lol. (except zombsnation)

posted about 2 years ago

It feels like it’s been weeks since SMB’s first game jesus. PRX genuinely can win this

Korea #1 rekt by ???😂

posted about 2 years ago

Prime shox on verygames and early Titan was beautiful to watch. He would be in a 1v3, 1v4 and I would feel bad for the enemy team that he was the last one alive because he would just win every time. An actual monster

VISION STRIKERS
KRU/ZETA/VK

100T
G2/F4Q

SENTINELS (assuming first seed)
GAMBIT/CR/HL

ENVY
ACEND/PRX/SMB

this is only one iteration of what the knockouts COULD be, of course it could be ordered differently etc.

main takeaways:

if we assume the best 2nd seed makes it out, either SENTINELS/VISIONSTRIKERS/100T will have an easier quarterfinal game (will play one of kru/vk/zeta)
if all na teams win their quarterfinals, we are GUARENTEED an NA vs NA semifinal
if f4q has a miracle run, there is a POSSIBILITY of having a KR vs KR semifinal/grand final
if all the EU teams win their games THEORETICALLY an EU vs EU final is possible
let me know if i'm missing any more interesting possiblities

posted about 2 years ago

lmao as if vs weren't shitting on Acend mechanically

you can't stop bunny, he will literally send it every round whether it's pounding the other team or straight inting it lmao

mans a psychopath

posted about 2 years ago

The only part of your comment I remotely agree with is that as long as I haven't seen him play, technically anything can happen.

But trying to use the Paper Rex matchup to even slightly imply that there isn't an enormous gap between VS and PRX is really disingenous for multiple reasons everyone has already discussed.

it's EXTREMELY optimistic to look at f0rsakens performance against a VS that clearly was both not trying, and saving strategies that another jett would be able to repeat his performance.

posted about 2 years ago

does anyone in this universe sincerely think skrossi will be able to jett diff hyeoni at APAC LCQ

csgofrogs will always cry about aim skill ceiling when tactical fps barely rely on mechanics at all LUL

overwatch dps is harder mechanically than any role in csgo and that's fact, if you bother to look at it logically

(remember which country dominates overwatch)
