It was one bo1 and a bo3 lol. You are making it seem like they beat all 3 teams in a bo3.

posted 1 month ago

I don't think it matters much. They are showing signs of their form returning back. That's already good enough. Now if th can return to their peak form for champs it will be the best.

posted 1 month ago

Doesn't matter if they lose. It's good sign that they are making a comeback. It will very good if they can make a complete return till champs. Champs will be everything.

posted 1 month ago

No way you are judging both those regions based on ewc. Especially china literally got fucked by the schedule alone.

posted 1 month ago

Let's see what happens in stage 2. I wouldn't judge any team based on ewc. Map pool is diff. I think some ewc teams will be at disadvantage in stage 2. Like nrg and bbl have shown a lot of vods already and other teams at home are prepping purely for stage 2.

posted 1 month ago

Lock in still was at least an official event. Also where is the thing about lock in not being clowned coming from? Lock in just cause of it's single elimination format has been called a mickey mouse a lot of times.

Also lock in was tbh a lot more fair compared to ewc. The scheduling for ewc make it a lot worse.

posted 1 month ago

Bro is judging teams based on ewc lol.

posted 1 month ago

Also forgot about vitality. That roster is insane too. If the new igl thing works with the team they can easily make a run too.

posted 1 month ago

I actually forgot about them. If the synergy is good, tl is a champs contender team too.

posted 1 month ago

Has potential to be the best event oat. Like every region looks to be really competitive coming to champs.

Th also slowly making a comeback.
Edg also has potential with enough prac. I think they will be back too in stage 2 and champs.
G2 will be back for sure too with leaf.
T1 roster is insane too. They can make a comeback easily.
Fpx can become 2024 fpx again. Can upset a lot of teams.

Especially cn, apac and EMEA as region look a lot improved compared to last year champ

Not judging any region from ewc tho. Still gonna wait for stage 2. Anything can happen still.

posted 1 month ago

Talking a about champs. Are you actually dumb? Can't even read lol.

posted 1 month ago

Yeah ewc lul. Let's see how he performs in champs when the stakes are the biggest ever. And teams will be a lot better too at that point.

posted 1 month ago

Allat for apac to not even make top 4 in champs. Let's chill a bit. You guys are low-key jinxing apac a lot. Champs will be the biggest test for apac.

posted 1 month ago

Finally a good take from you.

posted 1 month ago

Finally not a ragebait or a troll post from you. And I hate to say it but I actually agree. The crowd does feel forced.

posted 1 month ago

Why is this guy ragebaiting like this lol? First it was prx now it's geng.

posted 1 month ago

Yep again the same thing. Yeah might be cause of his team but he just wasn't relevant in the scene.

I understand that duelist performance relies heavily on team's performance. Like aspas is the major example of that. But texture just wasn't that relevant in the scene to rank him above buzz.

posted 1 month ago

But he really wasn't relevant in the scene. He didn't make any run in international. That's the problem. Also it's proven how much geng or solo and hsk have helped in making him the player he is today. He is insane but I don't think outside geng he would be as good.

posted 1 month ago

Best kr duelist since 2021 lol. He wasn't relevant till 2024. Buzz hate is so crazy. Too much recency bias.

posted 1 month ago

Lol do you not understand how attack side and defense side work in val? Talking about the fnc game in this ewc.

posted 1 month ago

Valyn over Ethan is a sacrifice of firepower? Lol one of the funniest joke I heard in recent times.

posted 1 month ago

And best thing is he is only 22. He has actually the best chance to become the undeniable goat of val if he doesn't fall off in like next few years. He has great team around him too.

posted 1 month ago

Cs fans just can't accept that val is becoming more and more popular and that it's not just big in one region alone like Cs is in eu. Also I don't think there was any disrespect shown to Cs here.

posted 1 month ago

I mean we saw what teams normally choose to do during ewc qualifiers. I don't think even bottom tier teams like zeta or dfm would miss out on champs qualifiers. Or decent teams like kru will send out their worse roster. Champs is officially the biggest event of the year for valorant and it has insane prestige too.

Also how did 3rd or 4th team in stage 1 get advantage for ewc qualifiers? More like they were at disadvantage with having shown most of their stuff and needing to play for ewc qualifiers just a couple of week before Toronto. You can't tell me that tl were at advantage for ewc qualifiers lol.

posted 1 month ago

I see lot of Cs fans in vlr mentioning how good and important ewc is by comparing it with majors. They say ewc in val is as prestigious as masters cause it's similar to how major is in cs with format and all.

But let me ask a question. Would an event similar to major not be considered mickey mouse event in valorant after all these years of val?
Imagine if champs 2025 has bo1 in swiss stage. And playoffs is single elimination format with bo3 in grand finals. At least ewc has a bo5 grand finals. I don't think anyone would not call such type of champs a mickey mouse if it happened in val.

Cs fans again, valo isn't similar to Cs at all neither as game nor as esports.

posted 1 month ago

Lol single elimination will never be greater than double elimination for val at least. Single elimination increases the fluke runs more ngl. Matchups luck matter a lot in single elimination. Like Toronto grand finals would be wolves vs prx lol if not for double elimination.

Also why does it matter if pros knew about ewc schedule? It's still ass. Also will pros try for champs qualification more or this ewc? Many teams literally didn't even participate or send their best roster for ewc qualifiers. Idt that would ever happen to masters or champs. That alone says a lot.

posted 1 month ago

Idk why Cs fans always have to bring Cs comparison in Val. Valorant is nothing like Cs bruh as esports as well as game. An event like major would be considered mickey mouse in val.

posted 1 month ago

Biggest problem with it has been schedule tbh. Like cn had to play their stage 2 games 3 to 5 days before this event. That's a very unfair situation. And then apac games start 2 days after ewc. And another problem was the qualifiers ngl.

Also one of the major reason people even consider lock in as mickey is cause of it's single elimination playoffs but you didn't even mention it for this event.

Unless this event becomes part of the official eSports cycle for valorant and the schedule and format is improved it's not gonna be as prestigious as any masters.

posted 1 month ago

Lol nice joke actually.

posted 1 month ago

With how the bracket is the chances are already halved lol. It's like the matchups are scripted. And there is no lower bracket. So you have a bad day you are instantly out.

posted 1 month ago

What about the audio and ui literally spoiling the kills and who won the round even before the duel or round is over? And replays and observing have been ass too majority of the times. These have been the most annoying thing about this event ngl. Makes it hard to watch sometime.

posted 1 month ago

How much will ewc results effect your top players list or who your goat is? Personally it's been a fun event but I don't think it has any effect on players legacy at least not like masters or champs. I just don't consider it on the same level of official international val events like masters or champs in terms of prestige and legacy. So for example for me the goat would still be chronicle even if he bombed out from ewc and aspas with his team had made it here and won it all. Doesn't effect my top players list either.

Just state your opinion.

Another example. Would forsaken be top 3 player oat if prx wins this event? He would have 2 event wins so.

posted 1 month ago

Their coaching has always been kinda mid ngl. Idk why they are still using the same old comp they used to play months ago. It becomes so ez to counter that. Their meta read is really poor too as you said.

posted 1 month ago

Main problem with edg is time rn. They still need more time and prac with hfmi. Also they need to play diff comps now and not same old ass standard comps. It's not really a individual problem ngl. Yeah hfmi still doesn't look as comfortable but it can be fixed with time. The roster has potential. But give it some more time instead of blaming individuals or calling them washed. This roster with hfmi has only played like 3 real games so far.

posted 1 month ago

No lol. And blg ain't winning against Al either. Why kick your main shot caller and jgl lol? Xun was so important for them.

posted 1 month ago

It's 500k not million.

posted 1 month ago

Blg need some more consistent Fraggers. If whzy isn't shooting the team looks shit. Rushia is really good. And imagine if they got happywei in place of knight. Also levius so mid. They have overall weak firepower compared to other good cn teams.

posted 1 month ago

It's paid.

posted 1 month ago

Lol sentinel hasn't beaten a non asian team till now this year. Asia merchants.

posted 1 month ago

I don't know why val fans undermine how much impact a single player can have on the team. We have seen it already many times how much team performance gets effected even if they lose a single player. And for g2 it was leaf and for xlg it was You. I am confident g2 will be back with leaf.
Unfortunately no You for xlg.

Nah the talent base is for sure stagnant or dying. Like bro the best young talents in lpl are all over 20+ in age and don't get the opportunity as well. Shanks who is so skilled is 24 years old and this msi was his first international event lol. Talent pool was china biggest strength in past and it's not present anymore. Also saying gov rules didn't effect anything is crazy. It's not just league if you follow other esports you will notice how there has been a sharp decline in talent growth for cn eSports.

posted 1 month ago

Unfortunately for league it's not just na and eu. Na was inevitable as moba was never big there. But main problem Chinese scene is dying slowly too. I mean with the rules there and other game getting more popular it was bound to happen. The talent base is dead there. It's good for valorant tho. Valorant will get more popular.

posted 1 month ago

Fpx will make a comeback. The individuals are really good.

posted 1 month ago

Kinda insane how west is so ass. Understandable for na as moba isn't big there but eu has no excuses. Maybe dota 2 death will help eu but still eSports scene is just kinda dead in west.

posted 1 month ago

It's not about players. It's about talent base. Valo right now has the best regional parity and talent base is still very strong. Problem with league is league esports scene in west is kinda dead. It's only thriving in Korea. As for china cause of gov rules and such things talent pool and growth is dead there. So league esports is in the path to become a very one region dominant eSports.

posted 1 month ago

It's another lpl lck top 4 right? Lol that esports is cooked especially since lpl is already degrading.
