no these are grand finals resale prices for some of the best spots in the arena to watch. And its RESALE, these are legit 10x what the original prices were I'm pretty sure

To give benefit of the doubt, when this post (may 6) was made Something had only really played 2 games with PRX and neither of them looked super great. The GE game was a... game, and the Talon game had one of the most outrageous maps of pearls I have ever seen if memory serves. And PRX was in the midst of playing against ZETA

So at the time its not like PRX was looking super amazing or anything of the sorts. What I really wanted to bring attention to is the fact that PRX was in poor form at one point in time to where they were compared to these teams, and now... Even without Something, the entire team has found its identity in a sense to play with incredible coordination that their style relies on. Which they simply lacked when Benkai was playing this year

this is how it is EVERY final, people always complain because it is a really tight bad schedule and then they go 'oh the final is going to be bad' and then its usually incredibly hype and everyone forgets about the complaints they had coming into it.

but the less prep time might honestly help out the lower finals players more because Fnatic have less time to prep after the match for the actual team they are facing, while the winner of lowers already knows who is waiting for them so they can plan ahead and just fix mistakes they made.

Giants and PRX compared in the same breath was a world we once lived. Crazy to think about now that PRX is playing without the MVP of Pacific playoffs and is still currently minimum 3rd in masters and giants uhhh... went 0-4 in EMEA playoffs to two teams that got grouped at tokyo... by teams PRX beat in playoffs

all good. have a great day

posted 11 months ago

no that is not true. there are only two spots in lower bracket first round. so the two teams who lose the LEV and C9 games would play that match to go into losers finals.

So both the SEN vs 100T game and the FUR vs winner MIBR/KRU game are single elim, which is kind of crazy

woops. i misread the message

The only thing I can say that people haven't already mentioned is that I have heard that the Helck manga is an underrated banger, but I personally haven't read it.

Also I just saw that Link Click is getting a second season this season, and I heard the first season was really good.

ever heard of this crazy thing called... immigration??

i just said that i know that it a chant...... But it does not make sense to use the chant in this context, because TL are meant to be a good team and like... winning? ? ? ? so them losing is supposed to be unusual not really warranting this chant to be used

the only imports in all of Americas are: jawgemo from Cambodia, ardiis from latvia, and qpert from serbia (dephh is no longer on SEN so I'm not counting him)

didn't edward play in APAC lcq last year to make it to champs? and wasn't PRX one of the two circuit points representatives from APAC to champs?

Not exact same region (CN and SEA) but both are from "Pacific" I would say

posted 11 months ago

I really don't know. I am sadly still doubting the no something PRX. They are just missing that extra layer to push them over the edge to truly be competitive.

But its also very hard to gauge PRX right now. Because they played DRX with f0rsaken on jett one map (different playstyle). DRX on bind the other (drx is bad at bind). And then played FNATIC on lotus and bind. Which I think are Fnatic's best maps in the current pool. There is almost nothing to really compare or show a level of consistency for.

I hope its good. Don't know if it will be good though :(

I mean fnatic would probably still ban Pearl against EG I would think..
If I am Fnatic would rather take my chances at map I am confident in with Fracture where EG also have a ton of recent VODs than have to play Pearl where an Americas team has never lost to a non-americas team (yes that is a real stat) and the map that Fnatic have perma banned all season against a team from the region that IS viper harbor

Either way you are probably losing a map

posted 11 months ago

cause two of your teams didn't even have the chance to make it there...

all bangers

Fnatic is the best team in the world, without a doubt I feel. Not only do they have probably 4 top 10 players in the world, but also a very good caller and player. And they continually cook up round by round calls that are great.

They also push the meta on the way the game is played on a macro level. With things like the light armor (which I know they weren't the first, but they 100% popularized), and this now marsall round 2 strat to feed ult points to a player faster on anti-eco without real risk

  • Enemy is likely 100 health so just 1 marshall shot to kill, and even if you die and hand the gun over. You all have 125+ hp and still get the ult point

But EMEA just simply does not have much depth of talent beyond that team it feels like. a good chunk NA challenger teams (not just m80 and guard) can beat probably the 5-10 rank teams in EMEA franchise. And probably have a good match against the like 3-4seeds

posted 11 months ago

0/8. EMEA = FNATIC

posted 11 months ago

I think this is both a very non problem (in this case especially), the crowd was completely silent for long enough, jawgemo is standing against tuyz and not making a sound for at least a full second (which might seem short, but in game it is an eternity). but eventually the energy becomes to much to contain and there is going to be a reaction. it is part of the environment. if you want to get rid of this, you also get rid of all the upsides of the LAN experience.

but also if you watch the full clip, jawgemo doesn't even see tuyz until he goes to check his flank (which is seconds after the crowd makes noise) and then he does a double take because he was clearly surprised by the fact that someone was there so his crosshair was way past that corner to shoot tuyz

under current rules franchise teams aren't allowed to have academy teams

posted 11 months ago

apparently icy has been part of EG for a while now and has been scrimming with the reserve roster. they just didn't announce it. I think mCe said something about an EG 10th man who he couldn't name during the PlatChat episode he was on
https://twitter.com/zecK_VAL/status/1669796248457453577 and this tweet from the EG reserve coach helps that point even further. So I think he has been there helping the team actually do full 5v5 scrims, just for some reason they never announced him. Why?? We on the outside may never know exactly...

I’ll accept him calling us dumb cause we are, but we are no where near as bad as VLR. They’re a special kind of dumb. We have the occasional intelligence in here that would never see the light of day in VLR

hoadong is the real slept on player of that team imo. dude continually pulls incredibly important kills out when his team need it most (especially during that Navi match)

I have to update bucky kills because it is now at like 8 or something because of the DRX game. But why does no one use this gun. It averages 2 kills a buy. What a silly stat

posted 11 months ago

its crazy how many people still don't realize that the Pacific franchise teams are already scimming against the Chinese teams for practice so China is getting good practice. Even though it has been said in multiple interviews I feel like

they are not up to NRG's level put simply. they tend to make a lot of mistakes on pearl that costs them rounds, but they make it close kind of.

posted 11 months ago

He played his first official valorant pro match THIS YEAR. and now he just looks like any other really strong franchise player. No questions about him being deserving of a spot so soon after joining the game. The clips T1 used for his announcement were from BETA????? He was learning the game and now he is proving to be a really good player showing up at biggest stage.

Carpe has only been on the up and up and I feel like I hear no one talk about just how drastically he continually improves over such a short amount of time. Wild to me

posted 11 months ago

I know Bind is like classic FNS masterclass map, but T1 have been really good on Bind all season with their (believe it or not) gekko comp. Might actually be a closer map than most people expect
