Yeah, but his peaks aren't nearly as high as Alfajer. Besides the 2021 year, he's been more of a role player, while Alfa has shown he can be the star player multiple times and bring up a team to championship level by his own (last part is hyperbole but you get the point). Eye test as well he has better mechanics than Chronicle as well. And he's honestly not as inconsistent as people say, I thought he was too, but I've realized his lows are still great.

I have only used stats in my argument and still considered Chronicle a top 5 player minimum. There is no hate, I just don't think he's the GOAT.

posted 5 months ago

they lost, so it has much less of an impact

posted 5 months ago

yes he was, if you were there you would realize how much of an imapct his lurks had throughout the tournament

finals mvp, nats was better in the tournament

Alfajer has a better case of being the GOAT than Chronicle.

Chronicle has never been the best player in his team in an international win while Alfajer has (Masters Tokyo with a 1.33 rating). If FNC win again, he will def be considered the mvp again (he could literally int, if fnc still win, he would still be considered the best player of the tournament). His case for GOAT status is better than Chronicle no doubt.

VERY VERY HOT TAKE:

I think he's higher on the all time list than Chronicle

posted 5 months ago

with the FNC flair for the extra spicy ragebait

yk ball

posted 5 months ago

this is his map trust

posted 5 months ago

3k HE MIGHT BE BACK

posted 5 months ago

true and kaajak is very much a momentum based player, hopefully he doesn't bounce back (im rooting for wolves)

posted 5 months ago

tough map you mean

he's been great the first 2 maps

Praying that Yuicaw starts playing like normal

posted 5 months ago

change you name to trembolona and become the new trembolona

posted 5 months ago

Sometimes I imagine myself as SiuFatBB just so I can get a glimpse of what a perfect human being is like. Is that weird chat?

posted 5 months ago

if there is one team it's possible for, it's wolves

posted 5 months ago

On the verge is putting it lightly

11-3 comeback was absolutely absurd

posted 5 months ago

Yuicaw has been bottom frag in every map so far with little to no impact. Lysoar has had very impactful rounds and today, has been playing well.

posted 5 months ago

Idek if he's played since he stopped playing for FNC. We don't know if he is better than Crashies rn.

posted 5 months ago

They are favored to win ascent.

I think this is a 5 map series

posted 5 months ago

He's usually very solid, he's playing very bad today. Mechanics just look off rn.

jinx monster

posted 5 months ago

how can you win 36 maps in one series

that's not possible...

posted 5 months ago

no G2 are Americas and you don't see me supporting them...

posted 5 months ago

wait you might be right...

posted 5 months ago

no no no

look at the math...

posted 5 months ago

im just worried about state of valorant competitive, you should be too if you fan..

posted 5 months ago

MIBR (they got unlucky against Gen g and TL hackers), TH (faced off against Wolves and PRX 2 of the best momentum abusers itw), and Sen (Tenz Aura still there to this day...)

posted 5 months ago

explained it above...

posted 5 months ago

C = MA

the same thing can be applied to confidence (C = confidence). M stands for momentum and A stands for how good a team actually is (the only thing that matters). Since these teams are abusing momentum they gain more confidence, which leads to more wins. Sad to see you don't know basic math...

posted 5 months ago

you don't want to see the real best teams itw play???? You are not true Valorant fan...

posted 5 months ago

Wolves, Fnatic, and PRX are all momentum abusers. Sad to see this in such a big tournament...

posted 5 months ago

You mean 2nd place? Wolves are winning this match don't get it twisted

posted 5 months ago

This is the wolves that lost to Sen

The wolves that beat Gen G were a diff team

posted 5 months ago

No ball knowledge

Wolves slowing down after PRX loss and Fnatic heating up, this is a very hard match for wolves to win

I still believe tho

posted 5 months ago

I really like Pansy as a caster, but I just don't enjoy listening to her cast Fnatic games.

She's had this Fnatic bias for years now, literally any other team and she's a top 3 caster of the scene. And people bring up well other casters are biased too so why can't she be? Well, I don't enjoy listening to them either and neither do a lot of people. A caster should be neutral always imo.

posted 5 months ago

No
They proved people wrong so many times before, so I'm not going to believe it's over until they lose.

posted 5 months ago

yeah and they all have one trophy, if prx loses their 3rd gf appearance, then idk what to say...

posted 5 months ago

Surprisingly a lot of prx players are close to that (jingg, forsaken, and davai all have 3 international gf appearances). No wins yet, unless...?

Karrigan

posted 5 months ago

Kinda?

He has been absolutely horrid up to map 2 of this series, but I'm glad he really showed up big when it mattered most. Hopefully, that carries into the next 2 days.

posted 5 months ago

Before this game, he was ass. But he went crazy on map 2, props to him.

posted 5 months ago

Kind of unrelated, but it's kinda funny how Aspas worst performance internationally is the one where he won champs. Goes to show how much Valorant is a team game and that using trophies isn't a good way to assess how strong of an individual player someone is. Nats was better in his first win (although this was his close to being the best on his own team in a win), Leo and Derke were better in the second win, and Alfa and Leo were better in the third win. Chronicle is an amazing player no doubt, but he feels like a super role player rather than that main guy which makes it hard for me to put him at number 1.

If I had to give a comparison, Chronicle is kinda like the 2nd/3rd best player in Astralis (don't watch CS, so idk who that is). Not someone I would consider the GOAT, but someone I would consider to be crucial in any team.

Spring clears both while playing with his nose

posted 5 months ago

yeah, I'm ngl that is really odd

besides mental they were better than G2, I'm almost certain, but having good mental is also a part of how good a team is and it's the reason why G2 were better than Gen G today

posted 5 months ago

Texture was also tilted a lot throughout the series

posted 5 months ago

True but choking 2 maps where you are very much in the lead (especially the first map) is around the same level of chokeness if not more than one 11-4 loss

That loss completely fucked over Gen G's mental and it felt like losing to the Wolves in that fashion also affected their mental against G2 (they got tilted a lot against G2). You could argue that the 2 chokes against Wolves were the deciding point in which Gen G wouldn't be tournament winners.

posted 5 months ago

9-3 and 9-5 into loss against wolves

or 11-4 into loss against G2?

posted 5 months ago

rrq in the tejo meta was the real deal, but meta shift + lack of experience ruined them
