The Japanese scene continues to lead the way in the APAC region, with RAGE announcing the Rage Japan Tournament. The second Japanese event in Riot's Ignition Series features a whopping ¥5,000,000 ($46,400~ USD) prize pool, rivaling the recent $50,000 USD T1 event.

Better yet, the tournament is open to all teams, unlike the recent RAGE Invitational which was invite only. The event will run from the 1st to the 2nd of August. Up to 128 teams will be able to compete in the single-elimination bracket. The round of 128 to the semifinals will be a best-of-one while the grand final will be a best-of-three maps.
