Nah even in close fights i still think vandal is better, with players like derke who can show full potential of vandal, its absolutely insane. He literally was winning every 1v1, but yeah spraying on smokes with vandal is pain
Somehow without any changes phantom fell off and vandal better now
It all depends, I usually play one game using both and seeing how I perform with each one and pick for the next. If I'm not feeling good during the next games, I swap them
me too but first i use them both in dm and then use whichever i am feeling better on
Depends on what do you play ig
I main smokes/sentinels (not chamber) so phantom works better with me
Phantom's recoil resets faster than Vandal's so it's better for spray transfer

Maps with many tight angles and mid-close duels

Defense - mostly phantom but will mix around depending on mood and team/enemy comp
Vandal on attack and phantom on defense, if I'm playing smokes then I just play phantom
Sometimes I play vandal on defense too if I wanna get aggro and know that I'll peek something off the start, also picking up vandal if I'm on light armor
vandal vs phantom is irrelevant. There is only 1 meta gun rn and its the knife
vandal, phantom is good in short term but its easy to develop bad shooting habits because its so forgiving
Phantom but the satisfaction of 1 tap from vandal will always make me happy
