(EDIT: damn looks like VIT aren't seeing the Derke vision like yall are)

I feel like VIT is in such a tricky spot. Their roster is solid, clearly has high potential, but there are some obvious question marks so its hard to tell if they need replacements.

-If Jett/Raze aren't meta, Derke holds this team back massively

-If double duelist stays meta even without Neon, should the IGL still be playing 2nd duelist? Or do they need to find a real 2nd duelist/flex.

-Does coaching need a change? VIT have been together for a full year, yet their fundamentals and protocols on certain maps are still really shaky at times (especially on certain sides of maps. They might look awesome on defence but suck on attack)

Why everyone only mentioning my Derke point, theres 2 other points

Nonsense. Derke has an amazing yoru. This derke narrative needs to stop. Last year he had a fantastic individual performance .

I think keiko for profek would make sense if you want to shift keiko to second duelist and move jampii to smokes. If double ini then keiko smokes.

But its not necessary to change jampi did fantastic on duelist

Problem is that Yoru is not an entry duelist and is hardly even a solo duelist, if Derke is on Yoru, who's playing entry? Or are VIT running solo Yoru?

In all likelihood raze and jett will be a big part of the meta. In 2025 there were loads of solo yoru comps as well. Hush we will have to see. But thats the same for every duelist in the world.

His pool seems perfectly fine for 2027 meta.

If 2027 moves fully away from Neon/Phoenix/Waylay then I fully agree, keep Derke. But if those duelists stay meta then its kinda cooked. Also what do you think of the other 2 points?

Pheonixs spot will be dominated by yoru. Also its a secondary so would be played by flex anyway. Neon is getting trashed. Waylay will likely remain a decent option on par with raze and jett. But in no way must play.

They would likely play raze/jett + jampii yoru/ini. Or solo yoru derke sometimes.

Alternatively if keiko comes i'd expect derke yoru keiko jett type comps as well when they play DD.

In regards to IGL jampis calling has looked great even on duelist. It makes a difference that he is not primary entry it really does.

Coaching i dont think so. Their general strategy over the year was good. Sayos late entry and the role discovery process in this team cost them time but had to be done. I think consistency makes sense here. They have shown a good sense of where to go with the changes they made towards champs. In this meta which was a really bad fit for the team they made it work

Would make sense if Kozzy the greatest duelist talent in EMEA were still available.

Derke is still a very good choice for vitality for 2027, and probably the best is neon gets nerfed.
Derke's impact in team's dynamic is obvious, and he isn't a basic duelist, he has a different style than the famous tkzin, marteen, dambi etc.

profek is still the weak link.
don't get me wrong, Profek insane aimer, his clutch save vitality alot.
but his util work/use are so bad, he is literally playing CS on valorant as backline.

i think they shouldnt change any players, but have jamppi go to full ini and put sayo on flex/2nd duel. he did a bit of it iirc and obviously he has the talent

makes sense but sayo has never looked that comfy on 2nd duelist roles compared to jamppi, even back in stage 1 and london where he did play second duelist you could just clearly tell he was more comfortable on initiator

theres also the aspect of off season now though. if they commit to keeping this 5 early on than they totally have time to adapt sayo to 2nd duel in their system or change the system a bit to assist him

Taking Sayo off comfort is the opposite of what VIT should do. Enabling your best player is like the #1 way to be a good team, and Sayo is 100000% their best player. Its Sayo's team, the others build around him so he's on comfort

Unless Neon is meta again, Derke is def one of the best duelists itw. Vit also becomes alot stronger with the same roster, If Neon gets nerfed.

What about my 2 other points

2) I think Jamppi has done a great job. But, I do think we need a non IGL duelist.
3) Even, I as a Vit fan, I am disappointed the way they lose advantage rounds, Not sure if it is Coaching or calling. Even after killing 2 people onsite, they just hesitate to take space fast, overcomplicate the round and die one by one. I think esp in this meta, every team needs a player who runs it down mindlessly lol.

  1. Derke is a world class duelist but if he isnt willing to play neon(and shes still meta), he gotta go
  2. Jamppi is fine on secondary duelist
  3. Top 2 at champs, we dont need any changes. Our attack was bad since chron was on neon

RIP Derke, VIT dont trust that Jett/Raze agent pool

(shameless bump)
