by the way, I remember last time you talked about how in a 3 way, only the winner is broken off and everyone else is decided after, where did u see that? I'd like to make sure cause I'm 99% sure that the 3-way is tiered off at once if everyone is different. So the G2-Sen-LOUD tiebreaker depends on the map-diff of 100T's win.

Heres the way a G2-Sen-Loud tiebreaker goes in the case they all end 3-2

All 3 are 1-1 against eachother in match score so it goes to h2h map count

Sen is 3-2 in map count
Loud is 2-2 in map count
G2 is 2-3 in map count

Sen wins the tiebreaker with 60% win rate

Then it resets for Loud and G2 which is decided by the h2h from today so loud would get 3rd.

100T win over Loud in this scenario doesnt matter since it doesnt make it to overall map win rate

Ah you are right. I was thinking about something else and misread some of my notes, sorry for the confusion

if 100t wins loud and sen wins kru, the rankings for g2, loud, and sen will be decided by map differential, then round differential, right?

h2h map

since they're in a 3-way tie loop, it comes down to map diff and round diff right?

yeah they mean h2h map diff.

SEN should be ahead as they 2-0'd LOUD and lost 1-2 to G2.

wait is it really h2h? i thought map diff was calculated across the whole group stage

For tiebreakers you look at H2H map diff and round diff before overall map diff and round diff.

i can't check the official rulebook right now, but isn't the tiebreaker order:

  1. h2h match record
  2. overall map diff
  3. overall round diff
  4. h2h map diff
  5. h2h round diff
  6. tiebreaker match

or am i misremembering?

just found liquipedia explaining that h2h diff actually takes priority over overall diff. sorry mb
