There really isn’t a single good reason to get Marved as a sub. If they wanted viewership, they should’ve gotten Tarik. If they wanted to win, they should’ve gotten a tier 2 player
i think it 100% is just for clout since tarik probably declined to play
The only reason is probably that john is going to mainly play smokes. With Victor they would've had to swap the roles a lot (probably Victor senti, cortez smokes, reduxx flex). With Marved you get a one-to-one swap and let cortez play sentinel like he has mostly.
Tarik is probably worse than Marved skill-wise and it's hard to get a tier 2 player on short notice when challengers is going on. + Marved is going to ENC, so there's that.

Do t1 teams usually get t2 players to sub on short notice? I can't think of an example off the top of my head.
KRU and MIBR have in the past, it’s usually difficult to get one bc challengers is usually ongoing but rn it isn’t

Now they can't get johnQT, so they're getting marved.
It does make sense to a degree if they're catering to SEN fans. Sure Tarik would've been funny and someone from tier 2 could get them a win, but Marved is someone already well liked by sen who is individually skilled enough to possibly snake out a win as well.
So you get the likeness of an EX-SEN player with the Skill level of a mid tier 2 player. Pretty smart
