i like both but i prefer no lower bracket, only con is some tournaments may be stained by bad playoff brackets
i prefer that over map veto advantage though any day
Lower bracket tournament for sure. Single elim just has way less games and is also more flukey. At least make the single elim format similar to the league one with every playoffs game being a bo5.
In single elim format dome teams just get hella lucky with draws which I hate.

You know that makes sense if they tweak the now lower bracket tournaments like that.
They won't change the double elim format. Single elim is just inferior for esports. Almost every esports uses double elim format nowadays for a reason. Just creates more stories and provides more games.
that is too exhausting for literally everyone and TOs do not want to spend the extra money for keeping venues open that long
Every playoffs game being bo5 is like the only way to reduce the flukey nature of a single elim tbh.
there is absolutely nothing wrong with fluke runs, and rarely do they win
also it wouldn't even matter if there was more than just 3 tournaments a year to care about
there would never have been g2 vs t1 finals if not for lower bracket format. this means we would have missed one of the greatest finals of this esports. lower bracket format is better
i mean you can make the same argument for something else, for every good final we get via a lower bracket is one we could've missed out on without one

noway people here want no lower bracket format. we would never have witnessed fpx, lev, zeta or t1 run in valorant if not for the lower bracket format. crazy that some people want less games and less stories.
every game matters more in Single-Elim and is more hype.
I might skip some upper semifinal games in playoffs double-elim cuz I know ill be able to watch the teams later. Not the case with single-elim (Im watching every game for sure).
every game matters in double elim too. also lower bracket is basically the single elim format lmao. just watch the lower bracket games and finals from now on. fixed double elim for you
Not muchh benefit for the team that doesn't loose a single game in the uppers imo
