Well I can accept the Balogun one because they didn't give like 10 other players red cards for the same thing so it feels more fair to just let him play like they did the rest of those players. But man these Refs have sucked ass all tournament long, like only that one bald guy has been good.
i do agree that balogun shouldn't have gotten a red but FIFA overturning a red card is insane
why isnt there an appeal process? if there was this wouldnt be an issue at all
agreed. i think part of why they are doing this (aside from the fact they are just insanely corrupt) is they also admitted they violated protocol during the real time VAR review of the foul.
a ridiculous penalty for being able to jump higher than your opponent. Also ref not calling time when it was 4 and half minutes over the stoppage time, and norway goalkeeper having the ball in his hands
nah i saw the brazil penalty. the guy didnt intentiuonally elbow him but still caught his face pretty squarely, and in my eyes any contact above the shoulders should be called for sure

Paraguay were playing a very rough and muddy style of football and kept trying everything possible to draw fouls and were challenging very hard and heavy and the Ref gave France 3 yellows but Paraguay none despite Paraguay having some clear yellow deserving moments.
I won't blame Paraguay for playing like they did though even if people see it as "dirty" as they were trying everything possible to win against an opponent much stronger than them, but still the Ref was really lax with them and then really strict with France.
Yep, I completely understand their playstyle, since they were getting away with it. Its the referee that I hold responsible for that shitshow.
balogun thing was honestly fine, trump intervention or not it doesn't matter, they at least kept that ruling consistent and allowed him to play. the VAR has been nothing but doom and despair this wc, every time I see them standing in front of the screen I know it can't lead to anything helpful
idk what you read, but i was supporting france and norway lol. A couple of the refereeing this wc were absolutely horrendous.
