Nothing against Cannavaro but why was Kapadze even replaced? I thought Uzbekistan did well in qualifying. Was it just a clout signing?

There are 2 explanations, one is kinda conspiracy theory, other is the more likely story:
Air quality in Tashkent is so bad that he stopped coming because it was harming his health, so they mutually parted ways, with him resigning.
He got cancer or another disease which pretty much forced him to stop coming as he was being treated, so he resigned and retired because he wasn't happy with the lack of effort or time he could put in the team.
He was a very good coach with a long managerial career, he is the one who taught the players how to play in a system.
That's assuming portugal would still score 3 more after.
The goal would've alleviated the pressure, 90% of the stadium were all Portuguese fans.
It would've been 3-1 or 2-2 if the goal was counted.
