Dont listen to the bait above ^
Honestly inexperience, and I do not like dastan as a coach. I think the pressure he puts on his players all eventually cause his teams to crumble. They constantly started looking worse and worse and made poor decisions in the mid round. People ultimately just figured them out.
Also it is important to note that they dominated early season. As teams started figuring it out, they got plastered.
It's always the thing with jame-dastan led teams, a streak of great performances and then just a steady yet consistent decline
I can't imagine how hard it is to play a game in that environment. Knowing at any moment the dictator will decide your time is up.
I wish vp 2023 were an english speaking team, but that shit was so funny to watch. basically at the end of 2022 they kicked norb3r7 for kairon, a promising tier 2 player from CIS. They had some decent results, not great, not terrible, playoffs of IEM Katowice 2023 even. But then the Paris RMR happened. they were down 1-2, and then, all of a sudden, they post that norb3r7 is flying from russia to denmark to play the rmr instead of kairon due to visa issues. Kairon posts ''my visa would expire after the last game, so that's purely a tactical decision. for now just support the guys.''. Imagine kicking one guy 2 months after winning a major, giving a young guy a chance, and then when the going got tough at the rmr you kick him mid-tournament, bring BACK the guy you kicked in the first place and still bomb out 1-3.
For them the huge problem was that they are a young inexperienced team. nota, xielo are basically faceit players, zweih had like 6 months of tier 1 experience. belchonokk was a tier 3 player. They first had inconsistency until april, where they would have a great tournament and then a terrible one (genuinely seesaw, 1st, 16th, 2nd, 19th, 3-4th). Then they came to bucharest in april, where the only competition was MongolZ and FUT. They went 2-0 but then started losing genuinely stupid games. dastan is a veteran coach, so he was really really fucking pissed, saying that this is unacceptable and that he would refuse to talk to the players if they lost a game vs wildcard. They then got bounced by mongolz (after a 0-CT side performance on map 3 of ancient). And the CIS community also started hating on nota and zweih for their trash talk/comms (like for example nota was meme'd to death for calling mongolz ''fucking bots'' before mongolz came back). Then they had a month of rest, and then astana happened. dastan's home event. Yet they showed 0 character and improvement. And dastan is one of the frew coaches who hosts QandAs with fans after games, and one of them wrote that ''you need to kick players, nota is actually playing like trash'' and dastan LIKED THAT FUCKING POST. Shanghai, they shit the bed. So, they were coming to the major after 3 disasterous events ,where they were playing worse and worse. At first it was ''oh shit they just had a rough day'' and at shanghai it was ''how the fuck are mibr of all teams demolishing you?''. they sneaked into stage 3 due to how good they performed pre-PGL Bucharest, but then they completely collapsed.
