somebody started watching last week lmfao, 2024 TH were the second best team on the year only behind GENG (who PRX are basically locked in as)
They lost one final against the most regionally dominant team in the game's history lmfao. How are they anywhere near Heretics in terms of being perennial second placers? And they're in the best form they've ever been, btw. They struggled way less against EDG than PRX did
I mean if they lose against PRX that's their second 2nd place in a row and they are pretty much all rookies except for kingg, that could be a burden on their mental and lead to other 2nd places similarly to Heretics.
Mechanically though we know they are capable of getting into finals, the decisive part is gonna be winning them and if they look bad in the GF it's gonna be tough for the mental.
ironically enough, the one who cost them the Americas final was kingg himself. I think the final is like 55/45 for PRX. I don't think the younger players are feeling that much pressure, this team is pure vibes. I feel like that's the difference between them and Heretics. I remember how hated Heretics were because of some of their statements and stuff, and that just added even more pressure on them at the time.
it's not even about being "perennial second placers" ngl its more "team full of rookies with veteran smokes IGL, lower bracket runs, rookie putting up generational numbers (london neon/shanghai wo0t), clutch god recon player...."
