They got wrecked by the schedule. They’re an anti-strat heavy team that had to go through lowers to qualify with barely a week to prep for London. They’ll look much better at Champs (if they qualify).
Yea, they were in lowers but they also only had to play bad/mid teams there and the prep time was not an issue for LEV, evidently.
That’s because LEV doesn’t try to directly counter their opponents. It’s not a back-and-forth conversation trading map control and pressure.
LEV just try to take control of the pace of the game from the start and lean more heavily on set plays than macro-level antistrat. It’s a stylistic difference where the former requires more prep time but the latter can be highly dependent on form.
Stylistic difference can be a factor, yes, but at the end of the day: If your style prevents you from winning, change your style. NRG won Champs, surely they can rely on their form. Nobody will remember that NRG or G2 lost London because of their style but because they didn't deserve the W.

their lead on Pearl was a good first half 8-4 and then a 10-8 on second half, EDG even got to 12 first -> 12-10
