Despite finding medial success towards the end of the year in 2023, Cloud and the rest of GIANTX struggled immensely in 2024, finishing dead last at Kickoff and failing to qualify for any international events.
A rebuild predating the 2025 season would at first only slightly improve the team's results, but another set of changes eventually bore fruit when Cloud's squad went on a lower bracket run in EMEA Stage 2 to qualify to that year's Champions in Paris, where they finished among the top eight.
Unfortunately, GIANTX was unable to reach that same high in 2026, missing out on both Masters Santiago and London following finishes among the bottom of the pack at Kickoff and Stage 1.
The departure of Cloud leaves GIANTX without an in-game leader ahead of Stage 2, set to begin in roughly a month. The organization currently sits at only two EMEA Points and will need to make a deep run in order to qualify for Champions Shanghai.
