Not this "champs winner" name value gimmick nonsense. We need a real entry, not a has been champs winner looking worse than Asuna. We need a real second duelist, not a Vyse Chamber merchant, whilst we have an incredible chamber and senti on the team already. And we need a mid rounder, preferably a flex some louder voices valyn showed leadership last year keeping the comms and morale up, but I have not seen it this year. I think they have, for some reason, put that on BabyBay, and he's not cutting it. And we need someone competent doing veto's not TerroristRT
What G2 need
Low key Babybay been fine. I’m not that high on him in general but he’s far from being the problem. Jawg has been a paycheck stealer for quite a while now.
reading the twitter + vlr analysts makes you think babybay is genuinely dogshit then you see a g2 game and realize people are just jealous of his aura and abs

I don't think JonahP was truly all that great, he had decent util and could mid round yes, I think Babybay has understanding of the game but he CAN'T replicate it because he's just not a top player, he could work as AC or something like that because he actually PLAYS the game.
The issue is Babybay was actually a downgrade because we moved leaf out of his role to accomodate him and he wasn't an upgrade compared to JonahP. It's been years since this team picked a truly good prospect player that promised a lot, last time was leaf because i was very doubtful of Jawgemo from the start and sadly time showed that it was even worse than i imagined.
I think that is all jonah needed to do. He is flexing mid rounding vocal and good at setting up his team. There are not many players that do what he does. I think EVERY single pro to do with babybay is currently doing if not better.
I mean, strategy plays a big part but you need to have the firepower to bring value when midrounding and calls can't pull it off. JonahP wasn't all that.
If you couldn't upgrade, why would they even consider the change? Why not just risk with T2 talent and mold it into something that they could work with? Why risk it with someone at the dusk of their career and a caster?
Im not saying they should get jonahp im saying they should get someone like him. Though jonahp is an infinitely better option than babybay. My thoughts would be chloric. He is an igl and has taken on a leader ship role and navi could midround can flex. And has show high fragging potential Dark3st could work as well since chloric is on a team. I do not think a player like jonah "needs" firepower. And I'd argue he has higher firepower than babybay considering the roles.
just get winter as sentinel or mold him into something else, he has the potential for it.

There is ground to work with and also, dropping a bag into a star player wouldn't be crazy as well, G2 is not a small org they can afford some bag.

Yeah but they you are playing pure solo duelist unless the flex is someone like seven or maybe boni but boni hasn't been a proper flex in ages. Not many proper flex players that are also good at duelist.
