I don't see him replacing anyone on either team I feel like he's just going to t2 or maybe they really didn't want him anymore for some reason
Actually they could also think there's an import they want more than stew that's more likely to me

i think stew is too good to just go to tier2. at worst, varrel picks him up.

I think jdg wanted a new import like u said but i really can’t think of anyone that would be better than stew

Stew is a better secondary duelist than yuicaw yet they still put yuicaw on duelist. I'd say they were very stupid

Stew had an injury so they switched him to a more passive role. When we don't know we don't talk

Oh how did I miss that? Mb

They were looking to get rid of him for a long time. I think a lot of their chemistry issues come from his discomfort with Chinese. It should be a no brainer for any Korean (or English speaking team?) who needs either a duelist or a smokes player. Varrel have to make a move. It could also be perfect for a team like Wolves, but if the Styron move is true I'm not sure they'll have room for an import

i say this geniunely (i've mentioned it in interviews previous), but stew was a player we were looking to swap out from after stage 1 last year. Was just more finding him a better enviornment while helping the other core players be a bit more comfortable. On one hand you can look at it as "well its their best performing player" but roster moves are not that simple, especially if it allows him to move somewhere else and be a net + for both teams

Yeh I can understand if having stew made the comms harder or other issues like role, etc. I hope it goes well for both parties, but i am still very skeptical of jdg especially if they bring another import since i don't think there are many better than stew.

To understand how low someone's emotional intelligence can be, you can look to our XLG's soon-to-be leader, Rarga. Many Chinese teams like Nova, AG, and DRG have bilingual communication systems. Using English to help foreign players integrate better into the team is perfectly acceptable. Furthermore, unlike the LPL, most VCTCN players are scouted from the Hong Kong server's ranked ladder. The Hong Kong server has many Pacific players, and high-elo games default to English communication. These factors have contributed to VCTCN's bilingual communication situation. Objectively speaking, learning Chinese is much more difficult for foreigners outside of Chinese-speaking regions than for those within them. That's why, even though Juicy can communicate almost fluently in Chinese within the team, choosing English, which is more effective for communication, is perfectly fine for facilitating faster team performance. But what does "my English isn't good" even mean? As the team with the highest proportion of English communication in VCTCN's voice chat, XLG's goal was to allow foreign players like Rarga to participate in communication and handle match content. His statement, seemingly humble, only raises questions: So, you feel pressured by the team's English communication? Are you implying your English is bad and thus reducing or eliminating communication? What's the point of saying this in the interview? Furthermore, after a few appearances in the World Championship, he lost confidence, saying, "The World Championship is too difficult for me." While others gain enlightenment in Longchang, Rarga seems to have realized, "I'm a noob." So, after leaving and returning to the league, don't push yourself too hard. Didn't you say the World Championship is too difficult? Then don't come next time. Rarga, please don't play Neon in the playoffs, sneak into a corner, farm a couple of matches, and then crawl into the World Championship to give everyone high blood pressure. Finally, there's the interview after today's match. Damn, we won! The reporter asked this question clearly to get a response to the previous interview, giving him a way out, but this guy just gave up. It means, "Although we won the game, I'm sorry, but I still feel like I'm a loser, and I won't win the next game 😃." Do you really know you have teammates sitting next to you, including a player who got 35 kills in a single map? It's like he's lost all sense of reason. He talks nonsense when called upon, and his brain isn't clear. After his teammates won 11-13 in map 3 and advanced to the next round, this guy puts pressure on both himself and his teammates. His emotional intelligence is truly appalling. His interviews and statements these past few days have been disastrous. If XLG can maintain this roster next year, I'll have to admire the other teammates; they're saints!

I think Rarga and stew situation is different. Rarga just has super low confidence where he brings the entire team confidence down making the team lose. As for stew, he is more of a tilter which tilts the whole team which leads to throws and losses.

Them being away from home and in a country where they don't understand the language prob helped contribute to that

Could be his shoulder injury. I've heard Stew's shoulder isn't looking too great. But hey, who knows, maybe he'll be fine if he goes back to APAC.

nah apparently wendler talked about how stew has a tilting issue that affects the team. He also sometimes doesn't try his best in practice due to his mental being down. JDG wanted to switch to a full chinese roster last year from what wendler said but ig it took awhile before they decided to make that decision? This stew move is only questionable if they get another import because it defeats the whole purpose of the stew move since this new guy will have similiar issues stew had in JDG

ye just to clarify he had these issues and improved them after we talked, but there was still back and forth on moving to full CN roster. I assume thats what JDG is doing here.

Main ??? is back then we still had z1yan, if hes not called back up here id be pretty bummed about it.
