video editing. very challenging but fun and a market that its always growing
if you aren't in actual video editing like films or cinematics etc
then ai has already ruined that industry
the social media reel editors dont have much scope remaining
i mean kinda? for content-creator focused editing it is probably a problem but brands usually still have someone taking care of it and probably a assistant even if it involves AI, and even then editing skills are still really valued for a lot of things involving social media. biggest problem involving social media to me is that you will be very overworked, deadlines are very tight and you will probably cover for something you wasn't even supposed to be doing. but also this is just one branch of the audiovisual industry that its still not really the biggest one
AI is a problem on like half of the jobs unless you're a janitor or a baker or something
i mean still the best scope of learning to edit is get into the serious editing field, if u learn that u probably get an actual career and u have the skills to do the social media editing as a side gig
cause AI wont be editing full length feature films or cinematics for the near future
thats true. but the traditional audiovisual (movies/tv/commercials) also has a lot of work. its just challenging to get in there but theres always something
honestly just live in a hut in the jungle and try to survive, primalmaxxing on top
