The group stage of VCT Americas Stage 1 wrapped up on Sunday, and while most regions around the world are either finished with their playoffs or in the final stages, Americas is set to begin its playoffs next week, trimming down the field for Masters London to eight teams.

Here's a look at the results from the past week:

The week began with KRÜ returning to form with a 2-1 win over a reinvented EG. With Paincakes taking on IGL duties and zerona stepping up from Evil Geniuses Academy Evil Geniuses Academy North America Rank #19 jakee Jake Anderson bdog Brandon Sanders , the team showed signs of improvement, winning its pick of Haven and then losing a tight Lotus before losing its grip on momentum on Bind. EG finishes the group stage 0-5, while KRÜ starts the week securing the top seed of Group Omega. In a crucial seeding match in the same group, 100 Thieves downed FURIA 2-1. The teams stole each other's map picks to start play, which set the stage for Breeze. With what could be a trend-setting solo Harbor comp, 100 Thieves were stellar, winning 13-6 with Cryocells picking up a series-high 55 kills across all three maps.

Another rebuilt team debuted its new look on the second day of action this past weekend, as Cloud9 added Notexxd to the mix in favor of v1c . With playoffs an impossibility, Cloud9 entered the match with nothing to lose, while G2 needed a win to secure an advantageous seed entering the playoffs. G2 made quick work of C9, dropping 15 rounds across Lotus and Split to wrap up a quick 2-0 win.

BABYBAY had a Vyse for the ages on Lotus.

In the most surprising result of the week, ENVY went from being on the losing end of the fastest match in VCT Americas history to being on the winning end of the fastest match in VCT Americas history. While playoff slots were set entering the match, the outcome of their match against MIBR was far from unexpected, as the ragtag group formed around the RANKERS RANKERS Inactive ion Ayan Rastogi P0PPIN Matteo Weber Eggsterr Evan Grady Inspire Hunter Schline canezerra Alex Banyasz core dominated 26-4 across Haven and Bind. In what appears to now be Eggsterr 's send-off match, the former Yoru one trick returned to his roots, while the second map was all surprises. Eggsterr again on Yoru, keznit on Clove after playing Cypher, and Demon1 on Reyna set the stage for a 13-3 win on Bind. Stunningly, MIBR had 20 first kills from 30 rounds, a testament to ENVY's ability to trade and work from a man down.

keznit HOW?!

On the final day of action, LOUD looked in peak form with in-game leader erde fully integrated and leading the team to back-to-back 9-3 comebacks to defeat LEVIATÁN. Despite Neon and Sato 's best efforts, getting 59 and 57 kills, LOUD navigated the map excellently to finish the series, outscoring LEV 10-1 on its attack half on Haven to enter playoffs on a high note.

In a playoff eliminator match, the weekend wrapped up with Sentinels and NRG going head-to-head. SEN appeared to have the momentum on NRG's pick of Fracture, claiming an early 8-4 lead. To start the second half, a thrifty conversion from NRG derailed momentum, as the defending world champions stormed back to win 13-11. On SEN's pick of Breeze, the team continued with its triple-slice comp with Harbor-Viper and Jerrwin 's Neon, while Reduxx was on Iso. SEN once again seized an 8-4 halftime lead, but NRG clawed its way back in. At 11-11, the SEN economy was on stilts. From that point, a moment of heroics saved SEN to lead the team into a map win the following round.

That's the Champions Paris MVP in motion.

The third map was a tough one, with both teams fighting through a long tech pause before entering halftime with SEN up 7-5. NRG began its defense side on a roll, winning six straight rounds. Sentinels clawed their way back in with three straight, threatening to even the score, but NRG persisted, closing out the map 13-10.

It's playoff time. With the full field not set until NRG's defeat of SEN on map three of their series of the final match in the group stage, the region now enters the playoffs. With MIBR and KRÜ securing first-round byes in the playoffs, the barrier between Group Alpha and Group Omega drops, with the second and third seeds competing against each other.
