ok so Nongshim have dropped off pretty hard since Santiago, and it's pretty obvious a big reason for that has been the Yoru nerfs heavily impacting Francis.
Initially they had Dambi still one-tricking Neon (because duh, he's the best Neon in the world and you play Neon every map) but now they have Francis on Neon and Dambi on other duelists (Phoenix, Raze). Now i know that Francis and Dambi have been ~ok~ on these roles, but it seems so obvious that if you have the best Neon in the world, and you still play Neon on every map, you should put that dude on Neon and tell Francis to play the other duelists.
BUT, i think Nongshim are actually planning for the future. They are anticipating that Neon is going to receive a significant nerf sometime soon, and almost certainly before masters London. Because of that, they are pre-planning for Neon to become unplayable, and are pre-emptively getting Dambi on other roles, so that they can adjust easier. If Dambi is already warm on other duelists, the shift from Neon won't be so sudden. Meanwhile Francis is already comfortable on other roles, and thus his shift from Neon won't be as difficult.
Now I'm sure they were planning on still winning games, and hopefully making London (so their plan could take effect), but it doesn't look like it's working out for them - did their masterful gambit fail?
TLDR: Nongshim are predicting that Neon is going to get gutted, thus why they have Dambi off Neon, so the transition for the team is smoother.
