Fade hasnt fully died as much as sova
Which is why im confused
Fade is an agent that you can use the utility quite quickly and a lot of the fights on the map are short burst. Sova kind of benefits when the fights can be spread out on bigger maps like Breeze. Basically the map pool is in favour of Fade and Skye as well as occasional niche picks like KAYO, Breach and Tejo.
Sova is not very popular on lotus and fracture, skye and fafe have better synergy with neon waylay double duelist
But the other maps are relatively favoured for sova right?

but that doesnt mean fade isnt better than sova right

i mean rn, skye is definetly better than sova
u have a rechargable flash, 3 flashes in a round is crazy work
sova is good in the more open maps, like haven and breeze, where skye isnt as optimal
when ascent, abyss, icebox, sunset are all out of the map pool, sovas pick rate is bound to be marginal
You need a flasher replacement of yoru in this meta and skye got a buff
So overall sova pickrates will dip, skye will take over. Fade wont have that much of a problem only her pickrate will fall but not as much
Map Pool is more fade-skye favored atm
Split - Fade/Skye
Lotus - Fade
Bind - Fade/Skye
Haven - Sova/Fade (Skye niche pick)
Pearl - Sova/Fade (Skye niche pick)
Breeze - Sova
Fracture - just kinda all over the place but historically not really a Sova map
Yeah historically is a more no-scan map with Kayo-Breach and now Tejo (Sova was only a thing for a while when EG brought it up)
