Is the new format replacing one stage with one cup? If so it’s lame, format has to allow more tournaments
It’s also sad we are not getting a 3rd masters

basically think of it as instead of the 5 weeks of regular reason before stage playoffs, they're doing smaller subregion tournamnets to qualify for the stage playoffs, then using the same playoff qualification into masters/champs format as usual
Im not convinced this is a good change at all
Its only good if it frees up time for a 3rd masters
Well there has to be some level of regional play. Cant all be globals like CS. This is not a one continent game
i mean i think its more fun because
a. its more open, more oppurtunity for teams that arent in franchising right now to make internationals
b. it replaces the frankly very boring round robin style group stage with subregion tournaments
there won't be a third masters unfortunately but theres gonna be like 20 tournaments next year between all the subregions + the internationals
more like cups are replacing playoffs and regular stage is segmented into subregional open qualifiers
