Install fotmob on ur phone. It hells u keep track of almost every competition globally

Pretty much every country in the world has a soccer league so just pick a team to like and follow them.

The biggest/best leagues are in spain, england, germany, france and italy

ig its mostly because theres a shitton of things happening now (relegation/championship battle on each league, UCL finals, road to WC) so might be a little overwhelming to understand all the stakes and the game itself at the same time but if you want to then go for it

First pick a team, just watch La liga, EPL, Serie A, Ligue 1, and Bundesliga for one weekend and try and figure out which team's playstyle/players call out to u. Or just pick a team off personal reasons, idk, I became a Real fan after my Uncle brought me back a jersey from one of his work trips when I was a kid.

Then you watch League games nearly every week, with usually 1-2 regional cup matches that are interspersed throughout the season, and obviously UCL, UEL, Conference league if ur team plays European football.

(You should support Man Utd, funniest fanbase in existence icl)

Well, you start by calling it football
Next you pick a team.
Several ways to pick a team:
You like clubs that are winning?: Bayern, Inter, Arsenal, Barca, PSG are currently topping their respective leagues
You like big clubs?: Bayern/Dortmund in Germany, Inter/Milan/Juve/Napoli in Italy, Barca/Atleti/Real in Spain, PSG in France, Arsenal/Man City/Man UTD/Chelsea/Liverpool in England (no I'm not including Spurs).
If none of those pique your interest, then find a mid table or relegation threatened team that you may find interesting (Spurs aboutta get relegated pretty funny)

I started playing fifa back in fifa 17 before I even watched a live match. Helped me learn all about the world of football. So instead of picking a random team to root for I chose to watch the random players I liked. So now I like messi AND cr7 and the only team I hate is liverpool

As with all sports, there's club and there's country. Club football is exciting but I definitely recommend checking out international football, which is what I personally prefer watching!

The international window starts midway through next week, and lasts about a week. A couple national teams will be fighting for the last few spots at the World Cup, so there's a lot of drama there. The rest of the qualified teams (well, most of them) are playing preparation matches against each other... it'll be really cool watching teams try to experiment and get matches in before the tournament!

The World Cup itself is in June, and lasts until mid-July. 100% recommend checking that out—it's the biggest event not just in football, but the entire world, and that's not an exaggeration
