Leo is lowkey getting underrated

People overly glazed him for a while, and now people are overly hating on him
“Stats player”, but he’s on initiator not duelist

Genuinely put up better numbers than Aspas and Alfa in 2023, and similar numbers to Aspas in 2024. On gulld, his numbers were as good as riens on TH.

People pretend that sacy and Ethan and crashies are even comparable, as if Leo didn’t have excellent utility and WAYYYYY better fragging. He might not be the goat, but he played the game at the same time as OPTIC crashes, 2024 Sacy, and EG Ethan and was immensely better than them. If you called any of them better people woulda laughed at you at the time.

Back when he was playing, I’ve always felt he was being underrated, literally Aspas on initiator, down to dragging his team to masters Shanghai. Him retiring is the equivalent of a zywoo type player retiring (if Aspas is simple)

People watched him carry fnc in nearly every close game, massive clutcher, conistent and a big game player, better than alfajer, derke, and chronicle, and have the nerve to put other initiators above him, because their team carried them to a few deep runs.

I don't think he's underrated, many still look back fondly. Just slowly getting collectively forgetable, since lots of new vct fans came with time.

I think it’s fine if new fans don’t praise him. It irks me when people say that he wasn’t impressive as crashies/sacy/brawk/riens, when Leo was better than all of them even during their primes (let alone his).

It’s annoys me when people put other initiators above him, because while a few matches his utility, none matches his fragging.

he was great, then after retirement and that one commend documentary and platoon video started getting overrated and now with new fans, he is starting to be forgotten

He was underrated until that vid. People put Alfa and derke above him, when he was far more consistent that them, even carrying them 2024. Is he overrated? Probably, but no more than Chron/Aspas imo.
