Idk I would still call it a Mickey…. It’s an offseason tournament so it doesn’t matter!
off season tournament with more teams, proper qualification circuit and a larger prize pool... I feel like top teams would have been more motivated seeing the prize pool
a lot of them really do want to win ewc, but its still not a vct event, which is what all the players REALLY want to win
Americas won't even need EWC, as they quite literally won champs that year I doubt anyone would even bring it up
they are really good at changing narratives to their liking so I lowkey highly believe it would happen

Ah yes single map first matches and single elimination playoffs are what we call "wayyy better" and also tech pauses and format are not arbitrary factors, they have clear impact on the players mental and nerves and makes the viewer experience worse.
never said format is an arbitrary factor but yeah tech pauses could constitute as one, and yes the format IS better because it gives all the teams a chance to play and flushes out the dirt from the actual good teams unlike the guranteed playoffs bs
