who are we?
Marteen is good. But kaajak is better overall duelist for sure.
tbh i dont think Marteen will perform this well if he had to play entry duelist like kaajak did.

no way, alfa and kaajak are better, if they were getting enabled like he is they would kill 30 every game too, kaajak still the best player itw imo
1 bad split doesn't change that he was the best player for most of last year
if u have eyes he clearly is, no player even comes close from eye test + made the final of every international in his rookie year, was widely considered the best player of 2025 and he always performed in the finals fnatic lost
Why we had to pick-up Yoru merchant to limit our comp?
And Kaajak will bounce back, one bad tournament of his life and you guys think he was bad?
Last year he was rookie of the year, who get into 3 grandfinal international LAN tournament in a row.
I see a version of Heretics where they might win everything with this roster: Wo0t, RieNs, benjyfishy, marteen and minny as the IGL
FNC is fine as is, they just need to adapt to the current meta quickly.
Kaajak-Marteen-Alfajer trio would be legendary but Veqaj is really good as well and Fnatic already have Alfa for the double duelist comps
Thier problem is definitely not fire-power, they just have to adapt to this meta and everything will fine.
And this is also first tournament of the year with new roster also. you cant said getting 4rd of EMEA is a big fail.
I agree not adapting to the meta is definitely what fucked them over, but honestly I don't think this particular meta is going to last that much longer
nah people are claiming its 'fun to watch' and santiago finals tickets sold out in two minutes or some shit. riot is definitely keeping this meta around a little longer.
that being said, -Veqaj +Marteen double duelist marteen perma yoru would probably let them win stage 1, london, stage 2 and champs
I think the "fun to watch" mindset kinda died off quite fast, I've seen just as many people saying the opposite recently so idk, also a lot of people talking about less viewership, but that could be due to less "clouted" teams.
Also, M8 is literally built around Marteen which is why he's getting such insane numbers, it's not as simple as just swapping him in for Veqaj (Though I do believe Marteen is one of the best players in the world right now)
this doesn't work like that, marteen won't leave M8 rn and also FNC doesn't search for players
